Lineco Archival Document Repair Tape, 1 Inch x 98 Feet, Pack of 1

Needed something more permanent and sturdy for repairing childhood favorite books, some that are mine that my daughter also loved as a child. While it is true, the tape is not completely transparent, it does repair those pages that are falling out at the seam line. I have seen people state that is it difficult to use and difficult to peel. Solution! Measure what you need, cut the tape. Have a pin handy, place the tape protective side up, lightly score the protective paper with the pin so you cut threw it and peel. I do like the sturdiness of the tape. My only negative is, the tape is not as transparent as I would have hoped for, but it is doing the job I ask it to do. Much better than scotch tape!

This is a great product. But the tape I ordered was not 12 feet. It was 7 feet of tape. Not sure if this is a manufacturing problem or something. I used it on a picture, it worked well. But you may not want to buy from this person since they're skimping on the quantity.

This tape holds in my tip-ins inside my Bible and bonus - I can write on it. It does leave a slight haze on the paper (it is not fully clear). The only issue is how hard it is to pull the tape from the backing at first. It takes a minute or two to get the setup started using the package as a dispenser. First, I have to slowly peel the sticker off the bottom of the package, then unflap the small piece with the instructions on it before unflapping the large bottom. Unroll part of the tape and put it back in the box while part of the tape is sticking out near where the small box flap is. Close the bottom of the box with part of the tape sticking out. Separate the tape from the backing and then lay the backing across the bottom and close the small flap. (Use a small piece of the tape to seal the flap.

Got this for a used book I had with a torn page as typical tape is not recommended. It seems to work, it's not totally translucent and is a royal pain to separate the tape from the backing paper. Once you get it separated, you just need to be careful in applying it to the page (have it lined up before you bring the tape down). Small pieces work better I found.

Consistently good quality for fine Bible page repairs, tip ins, flaps, etc for bible journaling. Very versatile, adhere well to multiple textures, and mostly transparent.

I could not find myself happier with this tape for it is nothing but a true gift for those who need highly reliable, yet beautiful mending tape for paper! 🥰🌈 Not only does it mend torn book pages, it elegantly mends old sewing pattern pieces on a fragile thin paper with ease and involves no messing with a glue or tedious glue marks left behind - just remove the backing paper, place the thin, yet strong tape onto the torn part, and polish it carefully - to then have the item as new! 💪⭐ I used an inexpensive natural polished agate coral stone for working the tape onto the paper, and it worked wonderfully for this very purpose, no need for expensive speciality tools at all, so I would highly recommend it to everyone! 🥰🌞

Used this on my Bible. I had put tabs in my Bible and some had started to rip the pages. So far so good. It’s not completely transparent. But you can read through it.

I did a lot of reading on archival/document repair tape before blindly diving in and buying the first thing that caught my eye, and this appeared to be one of the best products out there for my needs. The tape is very impressive and worth the money. I have read and seen reviews on various websites stating how difficult it is to remove this tape from its backing. To be fair, it can be pretty tricky - but you're also not dealing with Scotch Tape here. This tape is thin like rice paper (maybe thinner) and needs to be more protected. There are several ways to remove this tape, including: bending a small corner to loosen the tape from the backing, using your fingernails or a knife. I discovered my own method of removing it, and I would suggest to anyone purchasing this tape to practice with a small piece of it first to see what method works best for you. Like anything else in life, you need to practice before getting the hang of it. This tape is not completely invisible, but then again no tape is. If you're using the tape to repair dust jackets or one-sided documents, then I would suggest making the repairs on the reverse side of these things so that no tape is visible from the front. I have already tested this on one dust jacket and one document, and repairing from the opposite side only works exceptionally well. This product is definitely worth the money, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe way to repair documents and other paper related items.
