Dear amazon : i would like to knew which one is better than the other detector , fisher f44 or at pro i have confused about what is the best ,

Both units are excellent detectors. The F44 is only water resistant and not submersible, so it can be used in rainy conditions. The At pro is 100% submersible to 10 feet and can be used in both fresh and salt water.

can this detector tell you how deep in the soil the object is?

Has a depth gauge yes but not always right on any detector

Is the fisher 44 for finding gold?

Yes, the F44 will find gold, silver, coins, relics, jewelry, etc. This is a very good metal detector for all-around detecting. If you are specifically looking for gold, look at the Fisher Gold Bug metal detector.
