You wont find the max for these very efficient speakers without blowing out your eardrums and possibly a window or two. Feed these good clean watts rather than a mass of watts or your neighbors will feel the music while your ears bleed.

Ahh, a vintage 2270. If I’m not mistaken, your marantz has 70 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Which is plenty of power. Should be a great match
