FICS Car Phone Holder for Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W205) & GLC (X253) with 10.25-inch Display – Custom-Fit Mount for Seamless Display Integration, Interior Accessories for Navigation Use

I have a 2019 Mercedes GLC AMG 43. The maximum dimension of the infotainment screen measures 10.25-inches on the diagonal but the viewable screen is only 8.4-inches on the diagonal. These 2-dimensions create immense confusion when phone holder manfactures don't specify whether they are describing the physical hardware or the viewable portion of the screen. Subsequently, I've purchased numerous phone holders that did not fit. This phone holder fits perfect, is well designed, well enginerered, and well manufactured. It has a rubber coating so it won't rattle or scratch your interior and it does not rely on double sided tape that will melt and become a nightmare to remove in the future. The phone holder also places the phone in the perfect position to avoid interference from the gear selection lever and it does not block the view of the infotainment screen or the instrument cluster. Phone height is perfect for glancing at (phone) maps without appreciably taking your eyes off the road. This phone holder literally couldn't be better for anyone with a Mercedes C-class possessing an 8.4" viewable screen. As an aside, the phone holder itself is large enough to hold an iPhone 14plus inside the largest Otterbox (Defender) case you can buy.

Agree with the other reviewers - this is a quality piece. I've been trying to find the right phone mount for my C Class for more than two years. I've used magnetic mounts with foam tape, a bracket that foam tapes to the dashboard, and a cupholder mount, but none have been satisfactory. I and saw this bracket on the MBWorld forum last week and ordered it immediately. It's well-built, mounts firmly, and keeps my phone fully visible while driving. The first photo shows my phone mounted from my vantage point behind the driver's seat. The only downside is that, as you can see, it slightly obscures the left side of the video screen with a large phone (like my Samsung Note), but smaller phones will be fine. It also comes with a sping-mounted phone holder, so you have everything you need. Fortunately, it comes with 17 mm mounting balls in two lengths, so if you have another phone mount (e.g., a wireless charger, which is what I use, per the second photo), it will work. Highly recommend this bracket if you have a 2015 or newer Mercedes-Benz C class. Like me, I'm sure you will be very pleased with this solution.

The backing for the mounting post does not go in anywhere near as easily as the video shows. That's both frustrating but also beneficial. Provided you use the adhesive strips as directed (i.e. to create a cushion-y buffer between the mounting post backing and the mounting position in the vehicle [by sticking the two levels of adhesive buffer TO THE MOUNTING POST BACKING]), then the phone holder's connection to the vehicle will hold firm. In other words, you do NOT apply the adhesive to the car but rather to the supplied mounting post backing. Additionally, I elected to use a different phone holder than the one supplied with this kit. I simply needed the sphere at the end of the mounting post. Once the mounting post was wedged in place (and it's stayed in place—silently—for almost two years), I fit an X-Rnio car phone holder (for circular vent compatible with Mercedes-Benz GLC, C-Class, etc.) onto the sphere atop the mounting post. Nearly two years and I'm still happy with the results.

Usually I only write very positive or very negative reviews. I don`t have a lot of time and prefer to save some by keeping intermediate, subjective opinions for myself. Call it bad luck, but the few negative (and none of the positive) reviews I did where on Chinese products. This one is the exception: as others mentioned, this product is actually 2 separate ones: the base that gets installed into my C43 AMG (designed and manufactured specifically) and the phone holder (clearly outsourced from a 3 pty and sold as a bundle with the base). put together). The holder is a generic, 3-star piece of plastic intended to be fixed into the air vents, and half of it is a throw away while the other half goes into the specific base. Now about the base, it`s a rubberized, well-crafted and designed solid piece that gets inserted between the tachometer and the fixed screen. Please watch the video: on my first attempt I couldn`t get it in place (zero instructions provided), and after 10 minutes of trials decided to send back to amazon. But fortunately I found a video down into the description that shows the only possible way of getting it into position, and did it in 10 seconds. It gets sturdily locked with no risk for our expensive dashes. I have an Iphone 10 Max and stays exactly in between the tach and the screen (attention: it`s the 8" screen, not the newer) without obstructing at all a single inch of my view of the dashboard; and can be touched with my hand still on the wheel... can`t get better than that and if Mercedes would sell this as an OEM at the dealership I would gladly paid 3x what I spend. Save the difference and buy a better holder later on if you don`t like it...

Mount worked flawlessly for my Mercedes 2018 GLC300 4MATIC. I've struggled to find a good mounting solution due to the curves of the interior, and this PERFECTLY fit between my center console and dash. Extremely solid without any unwanted movement, easy enough to get in and out, and it uses a standardized ball so I can swap out with practically any other ball-based car mount (which is basically all of them). I'd prefer to use a Magsafe phone mount instead of the one provided, but the quality of everything included in this bundle is remarkable for $33. Zero complaints.

The custom part of this product (the mount) is perfect for its intended purpose. It fits snugly in my GLC 300 and provides a stable base for securing a phone to the dash. As other reviews have said, the phone holder is generic and not great. But what is great is that the mount has a standard Garmin 19mm ball, so any phone holder that attaches to that type of mount can be used, and there are plenty of great options. I've personally used the iOttie Easy One Touch 4 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076B27WP6), which is excellent but in my opinion a bit too bulky for this particular application, before settling on the Anker Air Vent Magnetic Car Mount (unfortunately no longer sold by Amazon; there are many others such as the Spigen Hexa Magnetic Air Vent mount [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AMGFY5M, just somewhat larger than the Anker], just make sure it has the 19mm ball mount--and if you make a mistake, take advantage of Amazon's generous return policy). The product has been great. It's never slipped, required no holes to be drilled or adhesives to be stuck to my dashboard, and it does its job elegantly and unobtrusively. I'm very, very happy with it and can't recommend it enough.

This cell phone holder is the perfect solution for the W205 C-Class and I'm glad to have found it via the mbworld.org forums. It positions the phone in an ideal location on the dashboard where it is not blocking access to any other vehicle screens or controls while also keeping the screen in just the right position to utilize Waze, Google Maps, etc. Material construction is top notch. The base is made of a very solid silicone/plastic material and is molded just right to fit solidly in the space between the gauge pod and center console screen. The base is really what you're paying for here; you can substitute any phone mount onto the base that uses a 17mm ball mount to attach. I tried it with an iPhone 7 and an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Both fit just fine, although the Pro Max looks to be the size limit for the supplied phone holder. I highly recommend this product to other W205 and X253 owners!

Works as advertised for the most part.. wish There was a review stating that not all of the screen is clearly visible while in the driver’s seat due to the steering wheel obstructing the view… it annoyed me enough that After using it for 5-6 weeks, I bought a different product that goes on the vent (and is actually easier to put the phone on and off).. the phone holder portion is also clumsy and takes a but of finessing to mount and unmount the phone. I think there are better options out there.

Der Smartphonehalter ist für mich wirklich die ideale Lösung. Alles andere ist für einen Mercedes Quatsch. Die Halterung sitzt mit dem Silikoneinsatz perfekt zwischen Bildschirm und Armaturenbrett und da ruckelt auch nichts. Absolut zu empfehlen.

THIS DOES NOT FIT RIGHT HAND DRIVE CARS Rufus tells lies. I checked before purchasing, he said it does. Waste of my time, returned within 10 minutes of being delivered. Why on this green and blue earth does the seller not put a clear note to say its LHD only cars, despite being sold in the UK.....the chunk of rubber that wedges between the instrument cluster and the multimedia screen is formed for left hand drive cars. It may really be a great set up, guess I will never know.
