Makes my life so much easier!
To begin with I have to say that I have had my Kirby vacuum for over 23 years. For those who don't know about Kirby they are high powered and high weight! So heavy. But they are very effective. But downstairs in my house I have all hardwood and area rugs. I was tired of lugging my heavy Kirby downstairs just to do the area rugs. I bought this vacuum for this purpose but have found it good for so much more. It is amazing how much dirt it pulls up from my area rugs. And with the hard floor function I can safely sweep up those areas as well. Then I used them for my carpeted stairs. With the handle adjusted to be handheld it made it amazingly easy and effective. Then I decided to use it on my upholstered furniture and holy moly the amount of dirt it pulled up was amazing. I always thought I kept a clean house but after using this I have downgraded my status to fairly clean! I then moved on to my mattresses which I do on a regular basis with my Kirby but with this new one it is so much easier. And I feel just as effective. It is also good for using the brush attachment on the window blinds and up high. It's light enough to not burn a sweat. The suction power is good. Although having a corded vacuum makes it a bit cumbersome I know I couldn't get the suction power from a cordless unit. The unit is small and does not take up much room.. I actually keep it out hidden in a corner behind a curtain panel. So it's easy to pull it out every few days especially because the area rug from the back door needs it. I am always amazed how much dirt it will pick up after just a few days. Highly recommend this product!

Best stick vacuum I've used
I've used several stick vacuums in the past. My last one was an older wired Eureka that I bought about six years ago. It still works, but I could tell parts were starting to become loose, and it was time to get a replacement before the old one broke. My main issue with the old Eureka is its cord is too short. At 15 feet long it needed to be plugged/unplugged multiple times just to do the main floor. I decided I needed to get a cordless vacuum. After doing a lot of research I came to the conclusion that cordless vacuums either cost too much, or their batteries just don't last. I decided to look at corded vacuums again. Being pleased with our old Eureka I decided to see what they had to offer. That's when I found this vacuum. The Eureka Flash Lightweight Stick Vacuum pros/cons PROS Cord - 30 foot cord that I can plug into one outlet, and do my whole main floor. Of course each house is different, so your millage may vary. Either way, it has a lot of cord to give you a lot of freedom. Not having to worry about charging batteries, or worrying about the battery dying while I'm vacuuming is great. Full power all the time without battery worries is awesome! Yes you need to deal with the cord, but it really doesn't get in the way that much, and in my opinion the cord is much less of a hassle than dealing with batteries. Suction - I have found the suction of this vacuum to be great. We're talking about a stick vacuum here, so don't expect the same power as a full upright vacuum. That being said, it does great on our hardwood floors, and it even does well on carpet. Two in One - I really like being able to easily disconnect the roller brush section and suck things up that hide in nooks and crannies while on the go. This has come in handy more than I thought it would. Swivel - I didn't think I would care about the swivel feature of the roller brush section. I was wrong. The swivel feature is awesome! Not sure how I lived without it in the past. Great for getting in and around tight areas. Attachments - I have not used the attachments very much, but they seem like they should work very well when needed. My last vacuum did not have attachments, so I welcome the added versatility the attachments give this vacuum. Filter/Dust Bin - The dust bin seems to be large enough to hold everything from one round of vacuuming. I dump it every time I'm done, so its size works well for me. If you like to vacuum multiple times before dumping the dust bin you might find it isn't big enough. That being said, we have two cats, so the dust bin might fill up faster for me than it does for you if you are furry pet free. The filter seems to work well, but it does have a small con I will list below. CONS LED lights - The LED lights are not very bright. Seems like they could have just left them off if they weren't going to put bright ones on there. I could see where they might want to conserve power on a cordless vacuum, but there is no reason to conserve power on a corded vacuum. They should have either spent the extra $2 on parts and went with extra bright LED lights, or just leave them off. The LED lights weren't a big deal to me anyway so I don't care that they're dim, but if you were buying this vacuum so you could vacuum in dark places without the lights on you might want to order a flashlight too. Filter - This is a minor thing, and one I knew about before ordering, so it isn't a big deal to me. The filter is not a HEPA filter. It would have been nice if it was. I'm sure if it had a HEPA filter the suction would have been reduced, so I guess you need to decide which is more important to you. If you need a HEPA filter this isn't your vacuum. CONCLUSION All in all I am very impressed with this vacuum. Great suction, long cord, not too heavy, no batteries to worry about, solid construction, and a great price!

Good, light corded vacuum
I have had this vacuum for almost 4 years. The size is perfect for storing and moving around the house (including up narrow stairs). The weight is perfect for younger kids to use also. My son was struggling with the larger bulkier vacuum I had and this one made it so much easier for him to use. This model is a corded, no battery, and is a good length. I can usually get from one end of the room to the next. The largest room in my house is about 17 feet long. This model is easy to clean, which was an important feature for me. It cleans carpet and hard floor, picking up most debree quickly. The design of the vacuum along with the attachments makes it easy to spot clean. The only downside is that it gets very hot. I find vacuuming all my carpets that it gets hot but not too much. If I plan on doing more of a deep clean, I try to give it periodic breaks.

Where have you been all my life? LOVE it!!
In love with this vacuum. Eureka checked all the boxes. There is nothing that I don't like about it. Perfect in every way. I have bulging discs, arthritis and serious back, neck and hip pain. This is a breeze to push around. I am a house clean fanatic. Nothing is ever clean enough for me. Incredible suction, very lightweight, goes under beds and low furniture, I don't have to move heavy furniture around anymore. Bag less with large canister. Easily adaptable in every way. I love that it can be used on the stairs with making it shorter but still having the roller and wider area of coverage. It can be used to clean the car. It has a soft brush attachment that I dusted all of my furniture with. The dust gets sucked right up. It's a HEPA filter. Did I mention it is so light weight. Very easy on my aching joints. Extra long cord. Thank you for finally making a stick like this with a long cord!! I sweep for hours. A cordless would never work for me. It took awhile to find one like this. I have a large home and I clean all the time. My minimum time is 2 hours and that is just the downstairs. The first time I used this I had my 2 hours of sweeping. This time it was more fun. I filled the cup up three times. I have a cat who sheds terrible. I have hardwoods with area throw rugs and carpet upstairs and steps. I have medium thick carpet and a few shag rugs. I had no issues. I didn't mind the heat blowing out the back. Not an issue for me. I have used lawn equipment that did the same thing. The performance after 2 hours was still excellent. It did not stop, overheat or have any mechanical issues. Also to stand it up I have the best luck on something upholstered like chair backs, couch etc. I have leaned it against a wall or bar as well. It has not fallen. It seems to have a concave part on the back of it. I just put it on some type of It has two speeds. The lower speed is good for throw rugs. I stand on the end and move forward to the end. This is so light that I can pick it up at the end of the rug and go again. When I was done I rinsed out the canister and lid with the hose. Perfectly clean and ready to go again. The suction is amazing. Great engineering on this. It is what I have needed for a long time. This vacuum does not have a springy hose that is almost impossible to stretch if you need to reach behind or above. I want to buy another one for use upstairs! Please don't ever change this style. It is beyond perfect. Thank you so much!! I have used a shark for a long time and I will still use it. It is a great vacuum as well. My Shark is heavy to lift to clean up above and move on the carpeted stairs. It's not possible to keep the roller part on the tank to clean the stairs. The springy cord on the shark is kind of a pain because it is not long enough and it gets pulled over many times. The Eureka is very light, no moving furniture and this little baby goes in all the places that I could never get my shark because of the way it is designed.

3 year use review
12/15/24: Bought this vacuum January '21. Still working great. Great suction power (surprisingly so), super light and easy to use. Love the flexibility in steering - incredibly dexterous. Really hand unit. The 30' cord lets to get around most any room and into the next in some cases. You can buy replacement filters on Amazon. Be sure to keep the stand, place it against a wall and it parks well. Does not stand up on its own during use, so expect to lean it in something. The attachments are easy to use - they snap in. The main unit acts as a handheld vacuum. A little bulky for a handheld but it is light and has great suction so it's fine. Overall, still happy with this vac after 3 years. Can easily recommend it.

Worth every penny!
I came back here after using this vacuum now for 10 months and it has proven itself to me. It has great suction. I have a German shepherd that sheds and it is great for keeping up after her. I do have to empty the dust cup about three times but it has a long enough cord that I only have to move it to a different outlet once in my 1700 Sq. foot home when doing the whole house. It has lights on it so I can see dust and pet hair that is normally unnoticeable and last but not least...it is very lightweight. I read a lot of reviews before buying this and I am glad that I chose this one. It does the job and I can maneuver it around my house easily. I do not have carpets but I do have a large area rug in my living room and it has enough suction that it leaves the vacuum lines. I hand wash the filters about once a week so I don't get a stale smell coming from it. I am very pleased.

Good Until The Motor Burned Out After 7 Months
This was actually a pretty good stick vac the few months that it was actually operating. I have mostly wood flooring throughout my home and just a couple of throw rugs and this vacuum was able to clean and adjust to whatever I was vacuuming. I liked that it had a cord so I didn't have to worry about charging any batteries, and the cord was 30 feet long so I didn't have to change to different electrical outlets a lot. The dust cup that comes with it is rather sizeable so I really only had to empty it once after I was done cleaning. As far as vacuuming it could go pretty much anywhere I needed it to. You have two speeds, one for hard floors and the higher speed for carpet. I think it has plenty of suction for my cleaning needs. This thing is very easy to maneuver under tables, beds, around corners, etc. When vacuuming under my bed, this stick lays flat and goes straight under without the front riding up, it stayed in contact with the floor the whole time no matter what angle I decided to go. The LED lights on the front are very bright and light up the floor so you can see the dust and dirt ahead of you so you don't miss anything. You only get 2 attachments with the vac, a crevice tool, and a 2 in 1 dusting brush. They do the job, but I wasn't very impressed with the 2 in 1 brush, I would rather have the dust brush separate. The base is terrible, it is just too light to support this vacuum securely. If it was a weighted base that would have been much better. Unfortunately, the motor on this unit burned out in month seven of ownership. I was vacuuming like I normally do and the unit started to smell like something was burning, then smoke and then nothing. I was only using this unit once or twice a week for normal vacuuming, so I cannot recommend buying it because of poor quality build.

This is a GREAT little vacuum
Ok, I bought this thing to vacuum the mounds of pet hair every other day and it sure does the trick! I have all hard surface floors except the family room., so the tumbleweeds from two cats and a shedding dog is Insane! I love love love this vacuum! It’s just perfect for what I use it for. It sucks great, is super easy to clean (no more bags) , is lightweight and is small. It’s parked in a corner of my laundry room perfectly. I don’t mind the cord at all, it’s long enough (quite long) to reach everywhere. I didn’t want to pay an extra 200 bucks or more just have cordless, and have the battery die mid job. Not worth it to me. This thing turns phenomenally, lays flat to do under beds, etc. I had a brand name robot vacuum that died twice at the one year mark, and was four times the cost of this. This is a much better investment. Even if I only get a couple years with it, still worth the price I got it on sale for less than 100 bucks!
