The Man From Taured: A breakneck mystery-thriller (World's Scariest Legends)

A very interesting read
I enjoy that whole parallel universe type of plot. A nice Twilight Zone appeal to it all. Was still waiting for a sudden last appearance, or atleast the whereabouts, of the mystery beauty that our lead character met on the JAL flight way back at the beginning. But it was not to be.......

What a Trip!!
Gaston Green is from a country called Taurid. He's a whiskey expert that travels a lot to advertise the brand of whiskey that he works for. He just got off a flight into Tokyo and security asked for his passport, as normal. Here is where things go pear shaped. Apparently his passport is a fake but Gaston knows its real. When questioned more thoroughly by the authorities, he finds out that the reason why they believe he holds a fake passport is because there is no such country called Taurid. This read was a crazy fun ride and I enjoyed every minute of it!!

Buckle up.
Jeremy Bates knocks it out of the park with this title. I actually found myself having to pry the book out of my own hands at times to take care of other obligations. With this book alone, Bates has found in me a lifelong fan.

I liked the other books in this series more than this one.
But I did finish it. It started out boring for me but I really enjoyed reading about a place I had already read about. The forest. The writing style is what kept me reading. How would this all be finished I was wondering. Thank you for your efforts. I would recommend this book any way to read.

Great Book, But Not Scary At All
The Man From Taured is an excellent SciFi thriller, extremely well written. It does not belong in Worlds Scariest Legends though. Not a horror novel.

It was okay
I was going to give this book a four stars until it started talking about science and all other things that I find boring . I feel that it went to much into his side life in detail for my liking . Anyways it was an okay book .

From Taured aka Andorra!
The author took a story about a man from another dimension or one such of stories about interdimensional travellers as there are a number of such misteries like "Green children of Woolpit" and other stories. The Man from Taured supposedly took place in 1954, the author's take on the story however takes place on our time 2020 and for that I deducted a star. Our man from Taured, this country in our parallel universe is known as Andorra, appears to be a well travelled fellow but with some bad luck that seems to follow him no matter the universe he happens to be in, lol, but to no fault of his own; nevertheless, the story around this hapless character is somewhat believable even though it's a little embellished but yeah I repeat believable that is why I gave it four stars one shy of a perfect score for the reason I explained above.

Excellent Read
Gripping from Start to Finish. I first discovered Jeremy Bates a few years back and can truly say I've never read a Bad Book from him

Disappointing
I chose this book because the concept intrigued me.However I could not warm to the characters, or the setting.

Must do better.
A totally unlikeable protagonist goes on a clichéd romp through an alternative reality. The ending is so bad that I had to reread it to make sure I hadn't, myself, slipped inexplicably into another dimension where literature is clearly not revered.
