Since this one wont work what is an equivalent one that I can get to work with an HDMI for an InFocus X2?

Works fine on my InFocus X2. Do understand that the max resolution the X2 supports is 1080i or 720P. Shoot a 1080P signal at the X2, it will choke. Shoot an HDCP signal at the X2, it will choke. I suspect one of those two issues was your problem, not the connector itself.

I bought this for infoucis LP340B projector but it did not fit. The projector's plug seems bigger. Can you tell me why?

It should fit according to the spec sheet. It is directional so be sure the large blade end is lined up to the receptacle on the projector plug.

I have a projector focus in35, will this work to convert it to hdmi and would transfer sound?

It should connect to your machine and transfer sound. I use it all the time on my infocus, as my laptop only has an HDMI connection and the sound transfers. Also, it is inexpensive, so if it didn't work, it is not a big loss.
