リヴィの幼き日、母親のジュリーが目の前で殺された。犯人は父親の サム・タナー。二人とも女優と俳優として名をはせていた。 それから約２０年後、当時事件を担当していた刑事の息子ノアがりヴィ の前に現れる。２０年前のこの事件のことを本に書くつもりだったのだ。 リヴィとその叔母夫婦、祖父母たちの悲しみがうまく表現されています。 全員あの事件には心を閉ざし、口に出すこともなくときが流れた。 リヴィもまたこの事件のことを知りたく思っても、周りに気を遣って 聞きだせずにいます。その心のうちや、ノアが現れてからの動揺がうまく 表現されていて飽きることなくノーラホリック状態になってしまいます。

I remember reading this book in Spanish when I was younger. I wanted to read the original in English and I couldn't remember any details so I went ahead and bought it. The story is great, characters are likable and is definitely a page-turner! Maybe because I've read it before but the "twist" at the end was kind of obvious to me. However, I really liked the story so I still highly recommend it.

Well written, all you can expect from this Author, the thing I love about her is the the feeling she gives her characters that you are actually there living their life's.

I gave 5 stars as I believe not only was it a good read, it also unfolded one of the secrets in falling in love.

It’s an excellent read. Not what you expect at the end, it will keep you guessing. Enjoy and try not to red in one sitting. 😉
