I have tried so many products that claim to be moisturizing & good for dryness/ frizzyness, let alone helps prolong color treated hair..None of them came anywhere close and too often even made the problem worse!I decided to try this shampoo/ conditioner duo because I knew some of the ingredients truly were beneficial (like with apple cider vinegar, the smell is a deterrent on it's own)So I colored my hair a few day's before these arrived, & it dryed my hair out pretty bad. I figured it was going to take a good chunk of time to get fresh life back in.I've used the shampoo twice, the conditioner once. Just this much, there is an obvious difference. My hair is softer, no sign of color leaching, & a huge percent of moisture is back from the color treatment. Plus there is natural shine!First time opening the shampoo bottle, I see the color, think of the obvious link to apple cider vinegar & inwardly cringe & mentally prepared myself for the smell ( I wouldn't of cared too bad if it worked, but hoped it'd be a better smelling alternative)It was thankfully, it is a somewhat subtle but obvious aroma of vanilla. (Which is pretty pleasant & lasting)I remembered about the description saying it was good for color treated hair due to low sulfates, so I worried I'd have to use a lot to clean my hair which is on the long side of medium length. It isn't as thick as traditional shampoos, & I did use a little more- but still the quality made it to where it's a non issue. So another plus.Even though I've only used it twice, I've experienced enough already to know that this product has already exceeded my expectations & I will definitely be a repeat customer. My whole family has some degree of natural curls- From light waves, to fairly tight ringlets. So those of you who know- that equals special moisture needs... I'm very happy I discovered this. And I hope if you're like me & trying to find a product like this that actually does what it claims? And this helps you? Then the time I've taken to write this is worth it.Edit: So I've used this for a few month's now, & have had some pleasantly surprising results- I even asked my husband to double check in case I was imagining it..We both noticed a very definite thickness, & shine to go with everything I said above.I know a lot of women who've gotten hair care items promising this with no results.. So I'm very very very very happy 😂 that this product is doing it without me even noticing it listed as a possible effect?I literally could not be happier with this stuff.

I really like this brand but i don't think this is the best formula for my hair. In the beginning my hair was never ever clean in the back. Too much oil. I would use extra shampoo and scrub like crazy but it wasn't possible to get my hair clean. Luckily i realize that my last shampoo was mainly the problem because it was leaving me too dry and my sebum was in overdrive(i got caught up in a product i never should have been anywhere near if I read the label, it totally destroyed all my hair progress). A clarifying shampoo once a week handled the greasyness and helped me transition back to a healthier amount of sebum production. I weaned that out of my regimen and I'm half way through this shampoo now (and months in), and my hair is finally doing better but it gets greasy after only one day around my ears and back of my head. My hair is fine and i think this is just a more intensive formula than i can handle. I have used a SM formula in the past with avocado with fantastic results, I'm probably going back to that.I really believe in this brand. The last time i was using it my hair was doing so so well. When i brushed it i could use the brush and twist as i brushed and my hair would form a beautiful pipe curl on its own. I got careless and caught up in another brands gimmick and totally forgot everything i have learned about what's bad in shampoo. It destroyed my hair so badly, so fast. Took it from that luxurious coil to a tumbleweed, no joke. I have so much regret. Shea Moisture is it for me now.

Sometimes it leaves a small cast? Even before my hair is dried. I was hoping it would help with my hair loss and it did reduce the shedding, but didn’t notice significant hair growth
