It was easy to install with the right tool

This was the perfect replcement spring for mom's recliner. Thought we would have to put it to the curb so the new spring saved the expense of a new one.

Was not easy to install but works once someone stronger installed

Watch your fingers! Found it easier to use screw driver to pry spring over hook versus stretching. Check your measurements first, but worked for us. Highly recommend.

I'm sure glad these came in packs of two because although I didn't know it at the time, the Stallion recliner actually requires two of these springs, one on each side. I bought the chair used so apparently one had broken off previously so I didn't even realize it was missing. These are the springs that keep the leg rest erect, and without them the rest will push down rather easily with very little pressure.

Fixed recliner, very reasonable compared to new recliner

These weren't as heavy duty as the originals, but they work to keep the footrest up.
