Bose SoundSport in-Ear Headphones - Apple Devices, Neon Blue

These are my 3rd pair of Bose in ear headphones and I would buy them once again, if need be! COMFORT Let me start off by saying that they're supremely comfortable, and I personally prefer this design of in ear headphones as anything more intrusive than this makes my ear canals hurt! They fit like a charm, and even on wearing them for 6-7 hours straight, I can't complain of ear aches or anything of the sort. They come with 3 sized of ear tips too. BUILD The Build quality is great, and they last comfortably for around 2 years of very rough use. The reason this is my third pair is because I've used the other two pairs I've owned for 2 years each. The cable began to fray, and on the previous one the in line controls stopped working. Nothing happened to the sound drivers, and the headphones sounded the same as they did on day 1. When i talk of very rough use, i mean 3 hours of working out, a couple of hours in the day and perhaps an hour or so at night as I personally require some sound in the background to help me sleep. This pair comes with a nice, neat, well built carrying case which has an attached clip for added use. No complaints here either. SOUND My reference pair of headphones are the Bose QCs. Regardless of making a comparison, the in ears sound great! They sound better than the J bird X2s, and the freedoms, to my ears, though some would argue they're similar give or take a few blows. The Bass is deep (in relative terms of course), not overpowering, the highs are crisp, but i occasionally find the mids a little unclear. I've used them over 3 generations now and this is the best iteration , but still, there is of course some room for improvement, even if very mildly so! They get pretty loud, and in general are the best at their price point imo. CONS -The wire really inst all that tangle free. It has improved over generations, but it still needs work. -Over time i'm afraid that the outside rubber coating on the wires will give way and begin to tear like my previous two pairs. They are relatively fragile and need to be taken care of a little. Mine have gone in the washing machine multiple times and have by god grace come out fine, but by no means should they be subjected to such careless use! -Price wise, they are expensive but you get what you pay for. -Over time the ear tips may become yellow (couple of years) -No warranty extension available, but if you go back with an old spoiled pair to a Bose store, they offer a 25 percent off on the new pair you can purchase to replace the old non functional ones.

I purchased the Bose SoundSport in-ear headphones because I either lost on vacation or severely misplaced within my house my Bose IE2 set after using and LOVING them for 4 years. The IE2 was basically the same product, but the earbuds were black and silver (and slightly larger). Simply put, they were the most comfortable and best-sounding earbuds I have ever used, and I have tried A LOT of sub-$100 options. But the IE2 was discontinued/replaced by this models, and this one has the volume and play/pause control for Apple devices, so I decided I would try it out. In terms of sound quality, the SoundSport earbuds perform exactly like I remember my beloved IE2 set. Pretty much every earbud on the market tries to promote its low end capabilities with buzz words like "EXTRA BASS", but the Bose sets really deliver. Actually they have outstanding clarity across the audio spectrum. Some people are generally critical of all Bose products for applying their own EQ curve (it sounds a bit scooped in the mids to me - it may not be ideal for every kind of music, but I happen to like the Bose sound). But the reality is with earbuds you are usually giving up so much ear quality, that even getting 90% of the way towards the quality of a over-ear Bose headphone set would be a major accomplishment, and I think they've done it here again. It's arguable, however, that none of this would matter if the darn things fell out of my ears all the time or were generally uncomfortable. That's why the very unique StayHear tips are probably my favorite feature about the Bose earbuds. They appear cumbersome, but it's actually a very soft and flexible silicone that bends and forms into the shape of your inner ear. The sound comes out of a silicone "nozzle" that inserts into the ear hole, and then the "C"-shaped portion rests around the inner part of your ear cartilage. It sounds weird, but at least for me, it 100% works. I've used them for running, doing push ups, or even sedentary activities like working on my laptop. They never fall out on their own, even if you are jostling around a lot. They will get ripped if you catch the cable on something, but that is true of any earbud that doesn't vice grip to your ear. I have what I guess are larger-than-average ears, so many earbuds that are intended to wedge into a smaller ear simply fall out of mine. The large sized StayHear tip is perfect for me, and it's really spoiled me for all other earbuds (well, that and the quality of sound). NOTE: I should point out that that the standard "StayHear" tips are not really intended for sound isolation. If you like earbuds that block out ambient noise or wind noise while running, these don't really do that. However, some people prefer to be able to hear what's going on (for safety or socializing reasons). Also, there is a StayHear+ version where the ear hole insert looks more like a mushroom and can be purchased separately for $10. These are a much snugger fit and are better at sound isolation, though I find that the extra snugness emphasizes the bass frequencies to a fault, so I don't think I would recommend those unless you have a problem with the buds always falling out. A final note on build quality - I was and still am concerned by some of the other reviews I came across for this product, particularly as it relates to the cords pulling out of the earbuds or other connection points. Like I said, I used the IE2 set for 4 years, and that included balling them up and throwing them in my pocket, workout activities, and so on. I was, however, generally careful not to tug on the set or stress the cables excessively. So, I truly hope that the people who experienced this problem were just being rough on them. If I see cables pulling back out of the earpieces, that is a major defect, and I will revise my review. I also am not a fan of how they changed the 3.5mm plug to a longer, more rigid plug. This tends to be protrude and be a little more noticeable in my pocket while working out. Those caveats aside, I'm still giving the SoundSport a 5-star review because I've never found anything close to this level of sound quality, and I think they are actually fairly priced for what they deliver.

This is my second pair of these in-ear headphones. I lost the last pair (silly me) and loved them so much I knew I would have to get another pair. I use these for many different things (listening to music, skyping/facetiming, or when I dont want to talk to people as I do errands) but I think the most relevant review I can give will be regarding two physical activities: 1. I am a big skier. I have been an alpine racer since I was 8 years old and only stopped when two back-to-back shoulder surgeries let me know I am not getting any younger. Now I ski recreationally whenever I can. Part of what I enjoy about skiing recreationally is being able to listen to music as I ski. On my most recent ski trip (Aspen, CO in January '16) I got to break these bad boys in. My jacket allows for a phone in the innermost privacy/safety pocket with a small hole that allows for headphones to snake through. Not only is the sound quality great, but the fact that I never have to worry about water damage or taking a fall and the headphones getting damp or wet is an added bonus. On this most recent trip I split off from my family to do some skiing by myself as most of them cannot keep up with me or want to ski the same terrain as me. Another great feature about this is when a family member would call me to let me know where to meet up for lunch, all I would have to do is press the inline mic and instantly be able to talk to them without having to take out my phone. Any skier knows that taking out a phone on the chairlift is practically asking for you to drop it or just feel nervous altogether, so this feature is very important. Call quality is great and no one has ever had trouble understanding me when I speak through the inline mic. 2. I have been trying to get into the gym a little bit more, and sometimes the only way I can get through a tough workout is by listening to music. As I mentioned before it is great to not have to worry about my sweat damaging these headphones. An added bonus is the small clip they come with. This clip keeps the headphones from getting tangled or too far away from my body where they could catch on something and rip the headphones out of my ears (everyone knows how terrible THAT feeling is). These headphones have never come out of my ears during a workout and once again, the sound quality is great. I would highly recommend these headphones to anyone who is planning on use them for an active lifestyle.

I have been in the broadcast industry virtually my entire adult life, and if there is one thing I am very aware of, its that Bose pretty much is the authority when it comes to audio quality. While in my studio, I use my Sony professional headphones (the industry standard), but part of me always wanted a pair of Bose. I finally decided for my birthday, I'd splurge. I like to workout, and wanted some earbuds which would be perfect for the gym, and the SoundSport seemed to fit the bill, so I ordered mine. When they came I was pretty giddy, I'll admit. But that faded pretty quick as I plugged them into my mp3 player and started to exercise. The earbuds--in MY personal estimation, were kinda crap...but not necessarily for the reasons you might think. They SOUNDED great, but unfortunately, they were designed to allow ambient outside noise to creep in so those who wear them while exercising outside, possibly in traffic, can be hyper aware of their surroundings, which is perfect--except it let in SO much outside noise it was almost to the point of a distraction. I wear a Samsung Gear S3 smart watch which keeps track of my exercising. It reminds me every 5 minutes by telling me my heart rate, calories burned etc. using its pretty weak speaker. I could easily hear my watch every 5 minutes as I worked on the elliptical. Sorry, but for me, that is like way TOO much. Since I workout in the gym, outside noise isn't a factor, but what do you do to fix it? I noticed while looking online that the eartips on the Bose QuietComfort Noise Cancelling earbuds were different...and I connected the dots and ordered a pair of eartips for the QuietComfort and they fit like a glove and the difference is absolutely phenomenal. Suddenly, audio that was completely lost before with the previous eartips was not only now easily heard, but the new tips helped to isolate the audio so much better. Honestly, Bose should include these kinds of tips for those people like me who don't need the outside noise to interfere with what I'm listening to. Seriously, the difference was like night and day. The old ones let in so much outside noise that you cannot fully appreciate the great Bose sound. But with the substitution, NOW I could hear the difference, and boy was it dramatic. Let's be honest, Bose are miracle workers when it comes to audio reproduction. They do it pretty much better than almost everyone else. Suddenly my earbuds that I so badly wanted, finally lived up to the expectations I had hoped for. Bass is full, the Highs are crisp, the Mid's were just as clear. Almost like wearing my Sony studio monitor, and that, my friends is an accomplishment for such a small device. The one area where I truly believe Bose suffers, almost more than any other audio manufacturer, is in build quality. You might think differently, but if you compared Bose headphones or earbuds to similar devices, you'll see it immediately, and if not right away, you'll definitely notice that when you use them frequently. I've always found their stuff to be nowhere as durable as almost any other pair of similar like devices available, and let's be honest, for what they make you pay, I honestly believe every possible effort should be used to make them as durable as possible. Even the Sport earbuds seemed a bit frail, especially the cords. I really felt that if I didn't take extra good care, they'd fray and break pretty quick, even though they are almost brand new. Being in the broadcast industry, I am pretty familiar with how to treat electronic equipment with kid gloves, so I think mine will last a bit longer than most, but that is just a guess. I know not everyone will share my opinion, but I am not just a casual audiophile when it comes to headphones/earbuds. I know my stuff, and it pains me to admit this, but the build quality just isn't as good as most others--even if the sound quality is just about as good as it gets. In short, if you want truly superior audio quality, but you aren't afraid to spend the extra money for earbuds that may not last as long as you'd hope for, especially for the money, you really cannot do better. However, if you want better sound, order some additional eartips like I mentioned above (they weren't expensive, mine cost less than $6.00) and you'll find a whole new appreciation for their audio capabilities. I was getting rather tired of my few pairs of cheap earbuds having used them daily and not really getting a great quality sound in return, so I decided to take the plunge on a premium pair and chose the Bose SoundSport. Being a runner and highly active I used my earbuds mostly while exercising or at the gym so I wanted to stay with a smaller compact earbud style as opposed to something clunky. My main concerns were: - "Open" earbuds that stay hanging on your ears likely lose a lot of quality with sound escaping the ear canal - "Closed" earbuds that use some sort of silicon seal have a very strong occlusion effect that ruins the listening experience with the sound of your own breathe and footstep thuds... ugh - Also these closed style earbuds block out ambient noise which could be dangerous while running, riding a bike, etc. - The sealed earbuds are sometime prone to popping out of your ear with any slight tug on the cord I settled on this Bose pair because they were one of the few options that seemingly solved all of those issues. I've used these for a year now and I am extremely satisfied with them. The sound quality is excellent, I have never had an issue with them falling out, the fit is perfect (they come with 3 different sized tips), they are easy to put in and take out, and the control bar on the cord is SUPER useful. These have solved all of those issues and are a nice looking pair of headphones as well with some subtle but helpful bonus features such as the adjustable clothing clip, carrying case, and extension cord. Some other reviewers have mentioned problems with the audio jack. I do wish Bose had designed the plug with an angled jack instead of a straight jack because if you keep this in your pocket I could see how it might get worn out from all the friction. All I can say is use the carrying case and take decent care of the headphones and you should have minimal issues. Great headphones otherwise and I highly recommend them.

Got these a short while back, and I have to say that though they may not be perfect, they do absolutely everything I wanted from them. They sit wonderfully in my ears with basically no need to move them around. I have run and biked with them and they never felt like they were going to fall out. And they are discrete enough for me to wear them going to class or walking around our college campus and not looking excessive. The inline controls are just a bit too high up for when I walk/run, but that's wonderful for biking. I could also have used like an inch more length of wire on the two split parts or an adjustable length. But those are very minor things that I am already starting to forget about. Sound quality wise they are very good, they provide what I feel is a slightly more flat sound signature. If you are looking for a pair of earbuds to blast bass into your ears then look elsewhere. These do require me to pump up the volume more than my previous active earbuds, but that is not necessarily a bad thing so long as you have a decent device you are using. The sound staging was very surprising to me, I did not think I would be able to hear the location of instruments as clearly as these have shown me. They are great for a variety of different music, and I have also listened to podcasts using them, and everything is very clear. Some people may get annoyed by the fact that they are VERY open to outside noise, but biking or running I like to hear what is going on around me; just don't expect to hear too much next to a freeway or construction yard. Side note; I have heard some people complaining that the plastic part on the earbud falls off or falls apart, but if I can easily purchase a replacement as it seems I should be able to, then I don't mind that too much.

I really want to love these headphones, but they've been such a huge disappointment. I listen to a lot of music, and I run a lot, and I tend to do the two things at the same time. I was really excited about this headphones, as I was looking for a good quality earbud so I could use them on the plane (and not have to bring my bulky over the ear ones), make phone calls, and of course run 3-4 times a week. Bose is a super reputable company (they were), and it was no small investment to spend $110 on earbuds but I didn't think twice about it. Well I've now had two pairs and both have broken, and these headphones are a huge waste of money and the quality is really poor. When they're working they're great, 5 stars, but it's only a matter of time before yours will stop working (it's a slow steady decline). I've now owned two pairs of them. The first pair was great when they arrived, but after about a month or so I started hearing a crackling static noise when I made phone calls on my iphone and people on the other line couldn't hear me. So I stopped using them for phone calls and continued to just use them for music and running. Then I started getting the static while listening to music as well, and these headphones were only about a month old. Amazon with their amazing customer service, sent me a brand new pair at no cost and I was thrilled. I enjoyed the second pair for about 4 months with no problems, but then they started all over again. At first the same static when making phone calls, but I brushed it off even though it was a disappointing since I wanted to use them for phone calls. Next, when I would be running, it would be very difficult to push the buttons on the wire control (pause/play, volume up/down). I'd have to press REALLY hard, and I could hopefully get the song to change or volume to adjust. Soon after, hard pressing no longer worked, and the wire control ceased working all together. Soon after that the entire right earbud stopped producing sound. I don't know if my sweat from running caused this or what, but both pairs I owned completely crapped out from normal use. It seems apparent to me that the problem is the wire control, and that either it's not sweat proof or just really poorly made. Anyways for a pair of earbuds from Bose, not to mention a $110 pair of earbuds, I would have expected so much much. Save your money, as for the same price you could buy yourself 3 pairs of highly-rated headphones from Amazon, which I just did. Tsk Tsk Bose, pull it together...

I read a lot of reviews prior to purchase, but I rarely write one. This one is an exception and I hope it helps you decide whether to buy these headphones or not. I own many headphones for separate purposes, but neither of them ever satisfied me fully when it comes to "cycling or exercise at the gym". Since my first priority when I exercise is sound isolation/noise cancellation, the only headphone that does the job 100% is my trustee pair of Bose ® QuietComfort 25 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones which is by far the best in the field when it comes to cut off almost everything from outside, sometimes to a dangerous degree :-) But the problem is they're almost impossible to use for cycling considering the helmet and they also give me some fatigue after a good 90 minutes in the gym. I did buy the Bose QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones and used them for a couple of days, but not only the overall sound wasn't so great, perhaps because I'm so used to my QuietComfort 25s, but also because the noise cancelling unit is rather annoying anywhere around my hip considering mobility and lightness are also a priority during exercise. So, that one was returned soon after. These arrived today and first thing I did before giving them a spin, I changed the ear tips to the Bose ® StayHear+ ® which I bought from Amazon at the same time for about 8 quid. This actually was a kind tip from the sales guy in Bose shop near by when I did my preliminary quality test on these headphones, I also saw the same tip from a review on YouTube. I think I got ahead of myself, yes I had tried the SoundSport headphones already a few days ago before ordering at the Bose shop and I was convinced they're worth buying for the 30 day no questions asked return offered by Bose for a field test. The Bose ® StayHear+ ® tips completely change the sound quality of these headphones by a good 60-65% and I'm not kidding. With the standard tip, the base is rather soft and crisp, but it transforms to punchy (which might not be your cup of tea). The non existence original noise isolation (not to be confused with noise cancellation) changes to a good 60% which means a lot in a manic loud gym to some people including yours truly. And I never thought I would say this with any headphones in my lifetime, ever, but these are LOUD. And I mean LOUD which I personally love since I have absolutely no disregard for my ears when it comes to music . Bose doesn't keep the volume on a leash to protect your ears as they usually do and I haven't got the foggiest why they went to the other extreme with these headphones. IMPORTANT: I don't use my mobile phone (iPhone in my case) to play the music for two reasons. The quality sucks over all with every other phone and they're too big to carry. I use a good old Sansa Clip + which after all these years wins my heart every day and believe me, I used MANY MP3 players, but always went back to my Sansa, only for the quality. So, the phones don't have the customized equalizer settings as a proper MP3 Player does, unless you use a third party app. So I personally didn't like the headphones with my iPhone at all (I'm way too picky, I have to admit). I also had to completely change my equalizer settings on my sansa which was set for the QC25s to adapt to the new SoundSports, but the result is immensely good in my humble opinion. And then, it's the comfort and perfect fit. Although every ear shape is different, but these headphones nail it completely. And believe me, I tried. I ran, I jump, I headbanged and any other crazy move you can think of. They're still there. I left the gym, I did my shopping near by and I was cooking for another 2.5 hours. So a long 5 hours and I hardly noticed I have earphones in my ears. Conclusion, if you care about all the things I just explained as much as I do, buy these in a heartbeat. These are not an all purpose headphone, but does such a thing exist? Debatable at best! But for gym, running and cycling, nothing I ever tested in the price range doesn't even get close. But it was all my personal experience and don't blame me if you're not satisfied in case you buy them :-) Happy listening!

Hay solo un pequeño detalle, son de jack 3.5, al usarlos con un adaptador para iphone 7 (lighting a 3.5 hembra) no funcionan como manos libres ya que estos adaptadores solo funcionan como manos libres para audifonos apple.
