I was actually searching for a cheap rack which can hold 50mL conical tubes containing cytology specimens, and I needed a few. The other racks I came across are too expensive just for storage. The rack included in this package is made of sturdy/durable plastic, and each well is faintly numbered. The conical tubes are loosely inserted so you don't have to hold the rack while taking a tube out. The tubes themselves are the same quality as the ones I purchase from a name brand company, at 2 to 3 times the price. The caps are threaded, and have performed just as well as the name brand after centrifuging at 2000 RPM for 5 minutes. I highly recommend this product if you're trying to keep costs down in your medical lab, or just need something well made for other storage purposes. They seem nice for holding things like spices or drink mixes on the go, screws, art supplies (glitter, mixing paint, etc.), and so on. Plus, it doesn't take a week to get it delivered like our vendors.

My husband is a coffee snob and takes his own coffee beans to work to grind for fresh coffee. Sure, grinders have a place to store beans, but after dumping them out repeatedly on accident, he wanted a better alternative. This has worked perfectly. It seals tightly and never accidentally pops open. The size is great to hold the beans and also great to fit inside a lunch box without the bulk.

Over the course of my coffee drinking career (which began at the ripe age of 12) I have faced a conundrum. A devil's bargain or catch 22 of the highest order: -I can only get through a single bag per month -You have to buy at least two bags online from the roaster to get free shipping I have tried different things, but the end result is I have to drink stale coffee. Which isn't wonderful. Thanks to this product that problem is now solved! Process 1. Does out 17g from a bag into each tube. This requires a tareable (zeroable) scale and a small funnel. I fill, tare, then repeat until the bag is empty. I cap each tube as I go. Make sure the cap is TIGHT. 2. Label filled tubes with a dry erase marker (NOT permanent). This way I know what's in each tube. 3. Put rack in freezer and grind, brew, and drink at my leisure. I have noticed zero quality degradation after three months of storage, and that's the oldest coffee I've had so far. Strong bloom and fresh taste. I've read that a month in the freezer is equivalent to a day on the counter in terms of staling. Grinding frozen seems to be a little easier on the grinder and result in a slightly more even particle distribution. However it's not a big enough difference on its own to justify freezing beans, in my opinion. (Single...) single dosers rejoice!

These worked well. I poured agar under laminar flow in these, none contaminated under these conditions. Only time will tell if they work well enough long term. Only reason I gave 4 rather than 5 stars is that 3 of the 50 warped when I sterilized them for caution, post pour.

Used these to pre-weigh and freeze coffee beans. They held 18grams of a medium roast, but might not always hold that much if the beans are lighter. Overall a great purchase, I've bought two sets.
