Great Shape
I've never purchased a used game cartridge online before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The Pokemon Yellow Version I received was in great shape! Plays well (so far) and has successfully saved a new game. I was a little nervous that it was just sent in a bubble mailer without any extra protection, but it seems to be totally fine. I'd order again.

Nostalgia FTW
The game works fine, no errors so far and I played the game for a good three hours and the new save battery works too. The game feels great and it's just like another Pokemon game. The game came in the mail in extremely good condition. The seller said the game's cover sticker is minor scratched but mine didn't have a single scratch or damaged at all. The cartridge it self was clean and surprising little to none scratches or wear on it. It felt like I just bought the game from the store 20 years ago. So this game made feel all the nostalgia and when I turned it on, it sounded fine and it worked fine. And I played it on my gameboy color so even more nostalgia. But the cartridge may vary but it's still worth the money

Like Ash, you start out with Pikachu and make ...
Pokémon Yellow Version will always have a special place in my heart. For those who are a fan of the classic anime, this is the game for you. Like Ash, you start out with Pikachu and make it your goal to become the Pokémon Master. You have Pikachu tagging along while fighting various gym leaders and even Team Rocket. However, unlike Ash's first gym battle, Pikachu's electric attacks will not takedown Brock's Onix. This where your Pokémon Journey differs from Ash's. You must go search for the right Pokémon to take down the Onix. If you played Pokémon Red or Blue, you know that this may be somewhat a challenge. If you enjoy the anime and love Pokémon, this game will be a nice addition to your GameBoy collection. Just do not imagine it to be exactly like the anime. Just imagine it like a special edition of the Red and Blue Versions, which in fact, it is.

saving option keeps deleting
So I bought yellow version last month and it works great like new but after i was about to get my second badge my game save deleted and it's not the battery since they replaced it with a new one it saves but after a while the continue option isn't there so I have to start over maybe the battery isn't installed properly for those who want to buy one be careful it might happen to you I'll have put electrical tape on the battery so it wont keep deleting maybe the battery keeps moving and the connection is lost as well as your save game which is irritating after a while

Gift for a Friend
My friend and I had discussed Pokemon a while back, debating which of the games were the best. I found out he never got to play the original gameboy games and I had missed out on the new games. When we agreed to be valentines, I knew JUST what to get him! He was incredibly touched and excited that I had remembered our discussion. Funny enough, he gave me a 3DS and Black2 -- great minds think alike!Game worked perfectly. Saves and loads perfectly. Besides some minor scratches on the outside of the game, it came in great condition! I was thoroughly pleased! Thanks for making it a great Valentine's Day!

Game wouldn't save/glitchy graphics
This game worked for about an hour. After saving it once the game would no longer save and the graphics glitched out on me so bad to the point that I could barely tell what was going on when I looked at the screen. I requested a replacement but the vender never even got back to me and I eventually had to ask Amazon for a refund. Item was listed as being in "new condition" but it is absolutely worthless.

Brings me back to my childhood.
As a child, Yellow Version was my first Pokemon game, and honestly was the game that made me a gamer in the first place. I lost my copy of the game years ago, sadly, but was delighted to see it sold on Amazon.Pros:Able to get every starter legitimately without trading.Pikachu is a popular little guy, and if you wanna start with one like Ash did, this version lets you do it.Full of nostalgia for those of us from the Gen 1 days.Cons:I'll admit, this game is very old and outdated, almost nothing you see in current Pokemon games existed then. No EVs, no breeding, no genders, no held items, no natures, no double battles. This can be a pro or a con depending on how you look at it, it makes things much simpler, but newer games do make this feel old.
