Other than the price this is a good product.Ot won't pick up small items like earrings or small charms but I imagine you can put a screen in the back.Also it does well but some items fall out while shaking out the sand which isn't a big deal.So far no problems and can dig deep

I was shocked. The Amazon description and pictures are very deceiving. I got the large 11x7. The mount is a collar with an Allen bolt and also comes with an Allen screw that goes thru which is awesome with the carbon Fiber travel handle. I have seen people saying the scoops were loose on other models. This thing is tight with no wobble. The collar addon took care of any wobble. The scoop came with a super cool blue CKG bag to store it. The add picture shows a CKG sticker on it which I wasn’t fond about. This actually has CKG die cut on top of it. Super light and Amazing well worth the money. It’s a tank and it will scoop a nice amount of sand. Highly recommend

This is an updated review. My 1st order was missing some attention to detail in manufacturing where the screw holes were missing from the scoop head and the pole could not be properly secured. (The pressure clamp was not sufficient to hold it.)This order was for my wife's birthday so it was a little disappointing to have to return it but she assured me that CKG was a solid name in the metal detecting community and wished for me to reorder with some finer model preference adjustments. (Wider scoop, removable lower handle.)The replacement came in fairly quick and she was made happy. She will probably drag me into her hobby and I will probably be ordering one for myself before long. I buy a fair bit of small farm equipment and both scoops had reasonably good looking welds and a solid feel to them.She made the observation which I see others have in their reviews as well where there is some play in the fiberglass handle. Yes, that is true, it is the nature of the 2-part fiberglass handle which allows it to be broken down into easily transportable size but it should not affect the ability of the scoop to perform nor its longevity.

This is a very durable sand scoop for the beach! It is very lightweight and easy to carry and breaks down easily for storage!

Built well my inly issue is i have to get use to foot placement to push scoop into the ground the design if my ild one is a lot different but so far i am liking it

I bought this for beach metal detecting. Overall construction is very good. The welds are solid and not half done like some others I've seen. The price is a bit hight but considering your paying for quality and a carbon fiber 2 piece handle the weight reduction will make up for that and the end of the day when lifting scoop after scoop of sand. Sometimes buy once pay once pays off. I would recommend this scoop to anyone that needs one.

This scoop makes finding objects simple! I don't have to use my pinpointer with it (but that would be the same with any scoop).The holes are a good size. They aren't too big to where dimes fall through, and aren't too small to where loose sand stays stuck in it. If digging in wet sand a few kicks helps clean it out.The best feature of this particular scoop is the collapsible handle. It makes a HUGE difference when transporting it in my car. If you have a truck it might not be as big of a factor, but if you own a car I recommend the collapsing handle.The weight does give a slight workout over time, but it also helps in that it pushes enough on the ground as I drag it behind me that it lets me visually where I just scanned in the sand. I'm glad I went with the fiber glass rod because a wooden rod would have added needless excess weight.This was a great buy, and after using it, I wouldn't recommend metal detecting in the sand without a scoop.

We ordered 2 of the 11x7 scoops with the travel Carbon Fiber handles. These will break down nicely for our beach hunting adventures! Very nicely designed and workmanship.“Finds” bag, Scoop Bag and decal are great added features that add a touch of appreciation.My wife and I would love to try the Titanium version and add it to the arsenal.Blessings DW
