Our sausages are the perfect evolution to our basic recipe made from wheat flour, safflower oil, water and spices. We begin by making a grind from long loaves of grain meat. We then mix the grind into a dough with fresh vegetables, wine or vinegar, herbs and spices like fennel seed, red pepper, fresh garlic, sage, ginger and pepper. Packaging and Recipe Change
These used to be a standby for our family. The company recently changed the packaging and the recipe as well. They now have more sugar, fat, sodium, and calories but less fiber. They now have a bitter aftertaste and do not have the nice garlicky taste one expects from Italian sausage. Nope we are moving on and going to start making our own healthier version and save lots of money in the long run.

This is so close to Italian sausage you can not tell the difference.
I will definitely be purchasing from your company from now on. I tried the Apple Sage from my local store for the first time and it was just as good as the Italian sausage. That is why I looked for you on Amazon.

Just No!
Nothing about this is appetizing. And forget it if you have gluten issues. I’ll stick with meat based protein and just get some more exercise in.

Oh so good
If you are vegan, vegetarian, or even a meat eater, try this product. It is flavorful. It has the spices and hotness of Italian sausage. Easy to prepare, just heating up. I have a favorite New Year's day recipe that utilized Italian sausage, and this is the perfect replacement. It is well packaged for delivery. Though during a hot summer, one must consider the transport in hot temperatures though this is packed in dry ice and packaging made to hold cold. I stock up in the winter.
