threezero Honor of Kings: Zhu GE Liang 6" Figure

I've been a fan of ThreeZero and its partner company ThreeA since I first discovered their products 9 years ago. Few companies out there are better than they are when it comes to making PVC and vinyl material look like realistic, weathered metal and armor without needing to actually include pricey diecast metal to achieve that level of realism. It's been exciting to see ThreeZero continue to produce more and more licensed properties and to see them expand beyond that standard "armored robot or individual" look. I was very excited to see the release of these 5 1:12 scale figures especially given how much less this particular line was than other high-end 1:12 scale figure lines out there. Not knowing anything at all about the "Honor of Kings" video game, I based my purchase of these characters on the character designs themselves, my positive experiences with ThreeZero, my love of Dynasty Warriors, and my love of class-based MMO games. Initially, I thought I would only buy 1 of the 5. But, after having that 1st figure in-hand, I bought two more when I had the next opportunity, and then finally bought the remaining 2 after that. And, as impressive as any one of them alone can be ... I think it's the grouping of these 5 very vibrant and very individualized characters together that make the product line so appealing. I'm very glad that it wasn't hard or expensive to complete the whole set and hope they will be releasing even more unique figures. And, that uniqueness and lack of obvious reuse between the characters they did product that makes the price point even more amazing. Especially as I was able to purchase some for little more than a Marvel Legends 2-pack. Zhang Fei is the clear winner when it comes to having the most extensive accessories for the same price point compared to the other 4. But, that is due to the character's design. While Zhu Ge Liang has the fewest and seemingly most basic accessories, what he does come with is extremely well done, making him my 2nd favorite in the whole group. I like characters whose design grab my attention and make me want to know more about them. And, I consider this 5-figure release a perfect example of that ... while, at the same time, also being such a great visual/creative group that one can easily create their own bios and storyline for the group. Highly recommended.
