Great for KETO Baking
This is a tremendous value! I transfer a smaller quantity into a canister to keep handy in my cupboard, and I keep this big container in a closet. I love when my keto recipes call for some egg white protein powder. I appreciate the large size so I'm not always running out of it, like many of my other special ingredients. There's never an eggy taste. It's clean and good!

Review + Tips & Recipes . . .
THE REVIEW: I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I dislike the taste of whey and other protein powders and decided to try egg white protein. This product is 100% dehydrated egg whites that have been pasteurized and fortified. Right out of the container they have a slight salty taste, but when I add it to my shake mixtures I do not taste the salt. Also, you can cook with the egg white powder as well. The package says to use 2 tablespoons of egg white protein powder and 6 tablespoons of water for a substitute for two eggs in a recipe. TIPS: One very important tip: You must use a wand type mixer or a bullet type mixer or blender to dissolve the eggs. USE ROOM TEMPERATURE WATER when you do this. Also, store your container in the fridge after opening. A FEW RECIPES TO GET YOU STARTED WITH THIS PRODUCT: Scrambled Eggs: Makes two eggs. Mix 2 tablespoons of egg protein powder with 6 tablespoon of room temperature water. Dissolve well with a wand mixer (such as a Handy Blender) or in a bullet type mixer cup. Cook just like you would scramble eggs making sure you are using cooking spray and a nonstick skillet. This product congeals beautifully and the flavor is yummy! Basic Protein Shake: In a blender or in a bullet type mixer cup place 1/4 cup egg white protein powder (approximately 4 tablespoons), 12 ounces of almond or rice milk, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup ice, sweetener of choice to desired taste (such as stevia, honey, etc.). Feel free to add flax seed, oatmeal or any other add-ons of your choice to the basic recipe. Blend until well incorporated and serve. Makes one serving. Tip - blend all ingredients together before adding ice. This is not necessary, but I have found the texture to be smoother. For weight loss or post workout recovery - Add the powder of one BCAA capsule into the mixture before blending. Makes you feel uber satsified if you are using for a weight loss meal replacement, and quickly refuels the body post workout in a tasty way. Enjoy!

Best non dairy protien pwd
I love this protien powder, it is the best non dairy one I have found so far. They dropped the size of the container and the protein content in it in the last couple years which made me sad. It is easy to digest, and I have never had an upset stomach over it. It takes a lot to get one serving of protein though. I use it in smoothies.

LOVE EGG WHITES!
Before I started Now Eggwhites, I was using a non-GMO soy powder and I loved it. It made my smoothies taste like milkshakes. I like it BETTER than smoothies. I used: A frozen topical fruit blend A frozen combination berry and cherry Baby greens (spinach, kale, and chard) Blackberry juice (has blackberry, apple, and white grape juice). It's 100% juice, no sugar. (I got all the above ingredients from Trader Joe's) Unflavored soy powder It was wonderful taste-wise and I was doing well on it physically. But then something happened. I told my oldest daughter, who has a degree in Chinese medicine, that I was drinking soy shakes to increase protein levels, she then expressed concern that I would develop a sensitivity to soy. But when she saw the soy container, she saw that it was non-GMO and said that it would probably be okay. However I didn't say a word out loud, but when she said what she said about sensitivities, I remembered something. When she was a teenager (a long time ago), she went for a semester at sea where she took college courses. When asked beforehand if the ship could feed a vegetarian, they said "yes". What did they feed her? Peanut butter sandwiches every day! And guess what is she allergic to since then? Peanuts and wheat. With that in mind, I have been testing protein powders to cut how much soy I'm getting. Not to cut it out completely, but just not overdo it. Several, like pea protein, have too much flavor of their own. In the end, I'm glad I've discovered egg white protein. First of all, I have to say that this product is WONDERFUL in the "shakes" I make, no odd flavor. Haven't had any trouble with foam like some other people have experienced either. Update 2-21-15: I have left the soy protein powder behind and now only use hemp in a smoothie in the morning and egg whites in the afternoon for a banana cherry shake. The egg whites are now added to a combination of frozen bananas, frozen cherries, water, MCT oil, and 1/4 cup egg whites powder. I've tried this combination without the egg whites. Mistake! I thought it tasted horrible without the egg whites.

Easy to blend, flavorless--not for baking
The NOW Foods Egg White Protein Powder is a great option for adding some extra protein to smoothies or shakes. It blends really well and doesn’t have a strong taste, which I love because it doesn’t overpower the other ingredients. It’s also super light, so it doesn’t make smoothies feel heavy or chalky like some other protein powders can. That said, I wouldn’t recommend it for baking. I tried using it in a recipe, and it didn’t mix in as well or give me the texture I was hoping for. For smoothies, though, it’s been perfect—just clean, simple protein without any weird aftertaste or additives. If you’re looking for something to throw into shakes or drinks, this is a solid pick. Just don’t expect it to be a baking substitute!

Now has great customer service!
I’m giving it five stars for their customer service. I use egg white protein powder for low-carb baking. A lot of bloggers people said that they were buying up this product on sale, so I decided to try it. I don’t know what was with this egg, white protein powder, but it was awful! I had breads that caved in, dough that was too runny, and tortillas that were too thick! I couldn’t figure out how to make it work. I was very upset, and I asked for help from one of my favorite bloggers. She was upset with me for, what she Thought , was telling her that the recipe wasn’t working for me The return window closed on January 31, and I felt stuck with the product. I had tossed the container and put it in one of my Rubbermaid containers. I am a senior, and I didn’t want to be out over $25! I called the customer service at Now. Kim was very, very helpful and understanding. She gave me a credit toward product on their website! I buy a bunch of productss from Now. I am very happy. I called them and will recommend their products each other other people. I also To the product people and they said the product has not changed. So I don’t know why some people are raving about this product and mine was horrible. But I i’m glad I contacted the company before posting

Literally only powdered egg whites
I had gastric bypass surgery 13 years ago. The last 5 years I have really been struggling with my nutrition and food allergies. My bariatric doctor suggested this exact brand since the only top 9 allergens I don't have is eggs. I like the product. It gets me the protein I need and doesn't make me sick. The 2 issues I have are the ability to dissolve it in something and the absolutely rancid sulfur gas I end up with. This product is 100% egg white which is great if that's what you are looking for. No fillers or junk. The problem is in finding what to put it in. You cannot dissolve it in tea completely. You will be left with a layer of scrambled eggs. The first time I added it to my oatmeal, I did so before cooking my oatmeal and ended up with a very off texture and scrambled eggs in my oatmeal. My suggestion would be to find something room temperature to mix it with to avoid scrambled eggs or make some kind of protein balls with it mixed in. It can kind of act like flour that way with its consistency. I really liked that it has no flavor. The worst thing about this product, and probably any product that is completely egg whites is the horrendous sulfur smelling gas that happens a few hours later. It's so bad you will clear a room. Maybe my gut health is just so bad that adding in some probiotics might change that but until I can find ones that I am not allergic to, I am stuck hiding from my kids in the evening until it stops. Good product if you are allergic to nearly everything like me. Bad for the rest if your family.

Buen producto
