Wears well, brush allows creating a fine line. Good strong color, does not smudge easily. Washes off well. Easy to use and results are very good.

to start, let me say that in the photo attached, I just woke up from an accidental 4-hour nap. as you can see, the eyeliner didn't budge a centimeter. consider me impressed! that being said, the only thing I'm not too fond of is that the jet black dries with slightly cool/blue undertones, so it's more like....charcoal black. however, I've found that waiting for it to dry (which is not that long, surely under 20 seconds) and applying a second trace-over does the job to get it REALLY jet black. maybe I just have high standards for what's considered "jet black", but for me personally, one coat is not THAT black. other than that, it's a good little eyeliner that allows for extraordinary precision and tiny razor-sharp tails. it doesn't smudge or budge, as I said, and it's definitely waterproof—I've been caught in pouring rain, and all of my makeup was sliding off EXCEPT this eyeliner. she's reliable, for sure. I wouldn't recommend for beginners with makeup—you need a honed and steady hand for this kind of applicator, and there's no margin for error since it dries so fast—but I don't think beginners would be buying a liquid eyeliner anyway. regardless, I like it. will almost definitely repurchase, unless I can find something darker

I give three stars because I have not worn it all day yet. It was VERY smooth. I am in my late 30’s, so liquid eyeliner often seeps into my eyelid creases. I did not have this issue. The brush does not expand like some when you glide across the eye. I like that. The color is very dark, just as black eyeliner should be. The size is good as someone that doesn’t wear makeup often. I think I’ll last some time. I will update my review after the day is done. I will go about my day, when I go to bed, I will leave my eye make up on. I want to test it against a crazy sleeper. 1 star for longevity and 1 star for waterproof. I have allergies and very water eyes. I want to test the corners of my eyes near the wing. UPDATE: it is not waterproof but it is watery eye proof. I went to the fair with my daughter and laughed so hard I cried. It did not bleed but it faded. It lasted all day. It wasn’t as perfect as it was when I first put it on but still looked good. I would say it’s worth it. It actually amazing for the price. GO ELF!

I'm not exaggerating when I say I've been using this e.l.f. Expert Liquid Liner for at least eight years. It's the only one I ever buy, and for good reason—you simply cannot beat this quality for the price. The fact that you can get a double pack for just $5 is an absolute steal. This eyeliner has been more consistent in my life than anyone I’ve ever dated. This liner is a staple in my makeup routine. It's so easy to apply, and it's perfect for creating my signature wings. Once it's on, it stays on all day without smudging or fading. I could not count how many of these I've been through over the years. I always make sure to have at least three on hand at all times, just in case. I get so many compliments on my eye makeup, which is always a winged liner and lashes, and I always tell everyone my secret is this liner. It's seriously the best, most reliable product for the price. I'll continue to repurchase this forever!

I love this eyeliner. Compared to other drug store selections at twice the price or more, I just honestly prefer e.l.f. because it works better. The application is smooth, the color is matte as the night sky, but there are some problems. I have noticed it smears somewhat around my creases throughout the day from sweat / tears if I don't let the eyeliner dry well first when putting some on. And the color fades after about 6 hours. But the price is so good I can just always have some ready and reapplication is easy. I don't look for other eyeliner because this is all I need.

This has been my go-to liquid liner for over a decade. Brush is easy to use, the color is pigmented, and the product lasts a long time. Depending on your foundation, the liner may end up cracking after several hours. Definitely not smudge-resistant so you might want to set it with a black shadow if that bothers you!

I’ve been using the e.l.f. Expert Liquid Liner for a few weeks now, and I’m seriously impressed. For the price, this liner performs just as well as some high-end brands I’ve tried. The pigment is super rich and black, and it gives a bold, defined line in just one swipe. The applicator is a thin brush tip, which I actually love because it gives me a lot of control. Whether I’m doing a simple everyday line or a dramatic wing, it handles both really well. It dries quickly and doesn’t smudge throughout the day — even in the heat! I also have sensitive eyes, and I’ve had no irritation or flaking with this liner. It stays put but is still easy to remove with regular makeup remover. Overall: amazing quality, cruelty-free, and under $5? Total win. I’ll definitely be repurchasing!

Unfortunately, I can’t say I would reorder this :( There are a few things I liked about it, but overall it just wasn’t for me. My biggest struggle was using it to try to get the liner any thinner than the line shown in the photo I posted. No matter how carefully I applied it it wasn’t easy to use. I couldn’t seem to achieve the thinner, more precise look that I usually prefer for eyeliner. On top of that, the formula felt heavier on my eyelids than I expected, which made it a little uncomfortable throughout the day. It’s a small amount of liner in the tube, it really has only lasted me a couple weeks. That being said, I really did appreciate the charcoal shade, and it did not irritate my eyes at all. It’s such a nice in-between color because it’s not too dark like a harsh black liner, but it’s also not too light or washed out. I actually feel like charcoal eyeliner can be surprisingly hard to find, so I was happy to come across this shade option. I’m also glad this product was inexpensive because it made trying it out feel less disappointing in the end. Unfortunately, despite liking the color, I personally won’t be repurchasing it because the formula and application style just didn’t work well for me.

I am extremely picky when it comes to my liquid liner. I have tried dozens and dozens of different kinds. I saw this in my recommended so I thought I would give it a try since I had yet to find “the perfect one.” This eyeliner is PHENOMENAL. The brush is perfect and thin, it’s super easy to use, and the liner just glides on so beautiful. Doesn’t smudge, easy to fix if you make a mistake, and stays on all day. I am obsessed. This is now my go-to liner. Elf, you never disappoint.
