If you missed out the first time, don't miss out the 2nd
I LOVE NECA's line of Pacific Rim figures. I have them all except for the first edition Crimson Typhoon. I looked everywhere but I wasn't about to spend $60-$100 for it. Then the Essential Jaegers were announced. I grabbed it as soon as it was available. The detail is amazing! Down to the Chinese characters and number of Kaijus killed on his chest. Tons of points of articulation including head, all 3 arms and a ball joint in the waist, just to name a few. The paint job is neat and clean. This goes well with all of the other Pacific Rim figures. The only downside that I can see are the ball joints between the legs and hips. They feel like if they're moved around to much they may become loose and cause him to fall. So I suggest pick a pose, and let him be.Great Figure....Thunder-cloud formation!!!

The item is a great. It came in a great condition
The item is a great. It came in a great condition. I would say this item is more of a collectable not a toy. It would be great if it was more of a toy. My son loves playing with it but unfortunately the head broke. But I still like the item it is very solid and detailed. I would recommend this item for anybody except small children.

I snagged this figure at a "down to earth" price!!!!
I finally got this great-looking, anime-style Jaegar at a price that didn't break the bank. I'd almost given up on ever having Crimson Typhoon until I saw this figure on sale in the "mid-$20" range. I have almost every figure in the Pacific Rim series, but I'd have to say that Crimson Typhoon is easily one of my top favorites. I enjoy the fact that none of the Jaegars have the shiny, "fresh off the assembly line" look to them. If you can get this figure for less than "extortion-level" prices like I did, I suggest you do so quickly. You'll be glad you did.

Nice toy, expensive for what you are getting
This is a great toy. It was purchased as a Christmas gift for my grandson. Nice size, detail, and coloring. The only drawback to me is the price. I do find these toys to be a bit pricey. If you are into collecting such things I am thinking work the money. As a gift to a child to play with I would suggest going to a less expensive set of action figures.

Not for playing with
We bought this a while ago and I am only now getting to writing a review because I am looking for more Pacific Rim toys for my son's birthday. My boy loves Pacific Rim and was super jazzed to get this toy. The detail is fantastic, but it didn't hold up to being played with. He wasn't even very rough with it - just tried to pose it and some typical head to head make believe battles. Despite not smashing it once, it started to come apart within a couple of days. I've purchased cheaper toys that have held up better. If you're going to display it, it is great. But I wouldn't recommend buying it if you plan on playing with it.

Arrive time was amazing. Came 4 days earlier then expected
Arrive time was amazing. Came 4 days earlier then expected! Right ankle joint is a little looser the the other and 1 arm joint was a little stiff. Two minor things that was nothing. Paint job is amazing and it looks so freaking cool. Just started my collection and this was my start. Great way to begin.

I thought the action figure wasn't able to pose because all of the joints were super stiff and I was afraid of applying too much
When I received my figure in the mail, I was shocked. For a whole week, I thought the action figure wasn't able to pose because all of the joints were super stiff and I was afraid of applying too much pressure and breaking it. I showed my figure to one of my professors (art school) who owned the exact same figure and he was shocked at the difference in quality. The paint job is sloppy and after exerting a lot of force, he showed me that the joints were supposed to be bendable. He was shocked that I paid so much for the quality of figure. On top of that, he only paid $20 for the exact same figure, but a better quality one.
