I have another Yens in same style and color and noticed that the new version is made with a "Denier 600" (or whatever they call it... 300?) type of material and not the polyester type of material. You see the cross hatches of the structure of the material - it is not smooth and flat like the polyester. I actually like the look and texture of the Denier material better.. not that the polyester was particularly unattractive. The old Yens has held up phenomenally well to many mountain biking rides and dog walks on streets , trails, and beach - no inside tears in the lining (which is usually the first to go it seem) from keys or change or hands reaching in etc -whatever the cause! An Everest version I bought many years ago did not last 3 whole years like the Yens did - but again in the Everest it was the lining that fell apart and not the exterior. The Yens that I am replacing has no interior tears and is fully functional but after 3 year just looks really beat up and sun-faded. Can't believe I've had it this long - I had to look at my Amazon purchase history to confirm this. One thing I like about the Denier version by Yens is that it is more rigid and seems to hold its shape a little better than the polyester version. Not that the polyester version was a problem in terms of rigidity - it is not floppy and has held up really well for 3 years. But a little more rigidity is preferred. Another thing I like about the Yens is that there is no outside label. I don't feel like being a walking advertisement for Everest - the label is too obtrusive and unnecessary and takes up a huge amount of space on the front of the fanny pack. Hey I'm a proud fanny pack wearer when I need one and am not in the closet about my fannypack tendencies. All the jokes about fannypacks crack me up - I can think of many other qualities and traits and looks in people that I can make fun that I think are more significant than fanny packs - but somehow fannypacks get a mess of jokes. Hey I can take it! I wear my fannypack loud and proud! But a fannypack with a relatively huge white label on it like Everest makes it stand out even more and not blend in with your other clothing. So if you are at all embarassed about not being cool by wearing a fannypack, you will be "less noticed" with the Yens version versus the Everest! haha ### ⭐⭐⭐ nice compartments snap not as secure *by K***T on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 15, 2023* I like the amount of zipper pockets great for organizing. the straps adjust well though I wish it could be bigger for wearing over the shoulder. As a clumsy person, the snap buckle is not as secure as I'd like.
