Very good
Very good. Great flavor, of course, not as good as homemade, but these work great as a camping meal. I enjoy several of the Mountain House meals, they never disappoint.

Great especially when camping
Tastes like it is fresh out of the kitchen. Easy to make. Perfect to carry camping. Great value especially when better than making in the wilderness. Fills you up for a full morning.

Pretty good but cook thoroughly.
After many years of seeing these freezdried meals I decided to finally test one out on a recent camping trip. Impressions : 1. The packaging is a little bulkier than what you could carry/pack yourself if you are trying to space save while backpacking, may be worth repacking into ziploc if planning to use within a day or so. 2. Preparation: boiling water was easy. while I stirred thoroughly, It did not fully mix and I ended up with some โundercookedโ bits at the bottom. Make sure you stir well in bottom creases of bag. 3. Taste and portion was pretty good for one person and I felt satisfied. Although some of the sausage chunks were a bit hard/underhydrated even though I followed the directions on the bag. Iโd recommend pouring the entire contents of the bag into your boiling water pot and keep heating for a minute or so before pouring back into original bag to finish soaking, to help fully cook through. Or repack in ziploc and just cook as desired in your camp pot if you donโt mind cleaning it afterwards. Overall though it met expectations and was easier and better than what I could make on my own in the backcountry, although they are a bit expensive.

Good for camping backpacking or emergency prepping
Most mountain house meals have a roughly 30yr shelf life. If your backpacking or just want to keep some food back in case of emergencies these are a buy and forget item. They taste good years after purchase. They are high in sodium tho.

Really tasty!
This was perfect for camping. Some boiling water and seal up the bag, and a few minutes later, a really good breakfast!! And I mean really good!! Id eat this even if I wasn't camping. Mountain House meals are a little pricey, but I only use them for the ease and convenience so I dont have to take pots and pants for cooking while camping since I'm a solo camper. For me, it's worth the cost.
