Physicians Formula Gentle Wear Natural Origin Pressed Powder, Translucent Medium Organics, 9 g

I have sensitive skin, so I use a lot of Physicians Formula products because they don't bother me. I tried this powder out as I'd run out of the kind I normally wear. I was concerned because the case is pretty much cardboard and I was positive my makeup bag would annihilate it, but it has survived 5 months of use, living in my makeup bag and I've finally used all the powder up (I'm back here ordering more, actually). The case still closes fine with the magnetic closure & the lid didn't rip off or anything like I expected. It looks a bit flimsy, but it lasted months without getting destroyed, so I'm pleased about that.I have my own powder brushes, so I have zero feedback on those, other than it comes with one that I'm sure would be fine if I was in a pinch & didn't have my full-sized brushes. Some reviewers mentioned a smell, but I have never noticed a smell with this powder.For color & coverage - I have decently boring skin. I just need something to cover up a little bit here & there and to keep me from looking greasy. I don't want to hide my freckles! This is a nice color for my fair-to medium colored skin and provides enough coverage without getting heavy. If you want heavy coverage, this may not be for you, but if you are looking for a powder to set your face & keep you from looking greasy, this will probably work.

I use this as a finishing powder to my usual routine, just to mattify my face since I have oily combination skin. It works great and I love how it's organic and includes a small brush and mirror attached to the bottom! :) Would definitely recommend and repurchase again!

I've been using this translucent medium pressed powder for years, and I LOVE it. I use a velour powder puff to apply it as a finisher over my main (liquid) foundation. This powder leaves my skin smooth and eliminates shine--controlling oil during the day--yet does not dry out my skin at all. It does not change the overall color of my face, just evens it out, while allowing the color of my face to show through. (While I often switch out my makeup products to look for improvements, I have no desire to look elsewhere for pressed powder--because this one is simply PERFECT!

Clean, super-fun packaging, and great colour for fair skin. I replaced the brush with a flat pillow-pad so it goes on smoother.

Gives me a finished look, but my skin stings. I do not have especially sensitive skin. Is there a powder that is nontoxic but doesn't sting? The stinging does not last long, so maybe I'll just tolerate that.
