I blew the pulley in my garage. A repair company quoted me $250 but I was able to do this myself in under 20 minutes.

Is correct replacement part. It’s just difficult to install. If you are a senior, just call a garage door repair service.

Pulley for my garage door opener arrived on time (One day service) and was installed by my repair technician. It worked as planned, but I only have one problem with it. It was made of plastic (like the original) and I foresee problems in the future with the Idler Pulley deteriorating again because it is made with plastic. (This was an exact replacement item). I think if I would have looked further into purchasing the item I could have found a metal one which hopefully would have lasted much longer. The original pulley came with my garage door opener that was installed close to 10 years ago, so I can't complain on that. If this one last that long then it was well worth the few dollars I paid for it.

Perfect fit and easy repair

As the title says, why is this made of plastic? They seem to break after 1000-1500 uses so why not use a more durable material. Otherwise the product is fine and the seller has them at a good price.

Had a friend help install a new garage door. He forgot to bend out the tab on top so our pulley got broken. This was its replacement and has worked perfectly fine since installing it.

Because it is made out of plastic its not real durable.
