SAFEYEAR Water Resistant Safety Work Boots [CE Certified] - 8025 Free Sock S3 Site Safety Shoes with Lightweight

I just received these in the post and tried them on. Immediately I felt the dread of the inside edge of the steel toe cap pushing against the side of my big toe on the right-sided boot. I had a similar problem with a previous pair from a differnt manufacturer so I specifically ordered these SAFEYEAR boots because they claimed to be a "Wide" size version of my shoe size - rather than ordering the SAFETOE boots, which were only available in the standard-sizes - in order to avoid that problem. (I do not, by the way, consider that I have particularly wide feet.) NO WAY ARE THESE BOOTS WIDE-FITTING!!! They were more cramped in the toecap area than the previous boots mentioned, and as stated by a previous reviewer, because they are steel toe capped there is no chance of breaking them in over time. In fact, because the steel toe cap ends just before the knuckle of my big toe, the side of the knuckle pushes against the steel cap's end, so - similar to the other reviewer's opinion - I would definitely cripple myself by injuring that toe if I tried walking in them. A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!P.S. I just checked the box and the boots. Both say that they are SAFETOE - no mention of a SAFEYEAR anywhere, and the size on the boots is just a standard Euro size number - no mention of it being wide-fit anywhere. What I did notice from the sizing guide on the box is that the internal circumference increases with the shoe size - so you might consider getting the next size up from your usual shoe size if you really want this brand and you feel that this option would be suitable for you.

Typical of the poor QC (or just simply cost cutting) of many products made in PRC these boots are undersized and having a steel toe cap there is no room for 'growth'. I wore them for 2 days practically crippling myself in the process .. at the same time invalidating any chance of returning them. They're heavy too. They may be ideal for motorway construction but next time a tradesman works on your house check out their footwear, it won't be anything like this. Took an age to deliver too. Waste of money.

Very comfortable, however atrocious build quality, they fell apart after only 6 months ,the dealer offered me a 20% refund, but that's not acceptable considering the age of them ,so I would not recommend them as a boot to buy ☹

Really comfortable sole!! Didn’t know it was a ‘memory foam’ type material. Keeps your feet really warm and dry too! Work in a warehouse and my feet don’t hurt anymore when I’m on them all day. Only thing is it takes a week or so to really break them in to where they’re crazy comfortable. So so happy with these boots!

I read lots of the reviews before I got these boots. Some say they dont fit right some say they arnt well made etc. FIT, I measured my feet using the guide they give and they fit perfectly. I am a wide size UK10/11 and its a perfect fit so measure as they describe. QUALITY. Well made boot, well finished. some say they come with a very high shine on them. they dont or at least mine didnt. mine was like any normal boot. All in all a good boot. I ordered brown, they sent black initially but they immediately sent the correct replacement. Good customer service

These are slightly larger than expected but not a problem if I have to wear warmer socks in the winter.They are comfortable after initial 'breaking-in' and the only issue really is that when putting them on, the heal lining rukkles in side and has to be manipulated to straighten it out.However, I now use a long shoehorn which negates this problem.Would recommend overall.

Absolutely lovely comfortable shoe. I needed a uk 11. Only thing I would say is they are a bit tight to start with around the top part of the foot but the leather gives and loosens up. Never had a safety boot where it's like walking in slippers. The sole is great and very anti slip. But almost like sketchers. Cant recommend them enough. Fantastic product

Bought these for my partner who was sick of wearing through the soles of his work boots month after month. So far, these are holding up very well and give him extra comfort with him being on his feet 12 hours a day. He confirmed this morning that they're better than his previous work boots and were much more comfortable.
