Dog walking must-have!
So I bought this after the style went viral and am so glad that I did. I've waited to write the review because I wanted to test out the durability & user friendliness before reviewing. Easy to adjust at the waist: both myself & my son can use this. He's 6ft & 250lbs, I'm 5 ft 5 and 130 lbs. Definitely adjustable & comfortable for both of us. Elasticity: Great - no issues with being stretched out. Even when being used on a very energetic Huskey, it's retained it's elasticity. Metal Clip: strong & good quality. Shows no signs of weakening or coming off. Handle: not used very much, but is comfortable and doesn't leave leash burn on your hands. Easy to grip and hold. Color: Blue is bright & shows no signs of fading. Even after being used at the beach and in the water, it's retained it's color. I highly recommend this leash. It's easy to use, looks good, and will work will just about any size dog. Being able to walk hands-free is great. I had no idea what I was missing!

Love this product
Great leash for my dog. Very easy to use. Fits around my waste well, and I love that it has two handles.

"Waist Belt" is not the same as "Belt" (which goes around one's waist)!
I typically need to wear a belt ("thanks" to the stretchy material used these days in clothing), so assumed the "waist belt" would be a substitute and serve two purposes. I also thought that just wearing the waist belt without putting it through belt loops would not offer enough protection to my stomach plus would enable the leash to swing around my waist based on the dog's walking or running position. ["The dog" may sound impersonal, but he is my brother's, not mine!] I intended from the time I received the item to use it as a substitute "belt". I soon found out that most of my pants do not have wide enough belt loops to accommodate the "waist belt", which requires about 2" belt loops to fit. The pants with loops wide enough definitely work to keep the waist belt in place as well as offer stronger resistance and protection if/when the dog pulls (which he does). The "bungee" aspect also helps a great deal - the dog (a Huskimo) usually stops pulling when he feels the initial pressure before it "gives". If he doesn't stop immediately, the bungee part saves me from being pulled over (falling). The "grab" handles are quite useful for bringing the dog closer for whatever reason(s). I found the "adjustable" belt size difficult to figure out and it took a while to make the adjustments before I got it to the right length. Initially, it was so small that I started to think it was just another "undersized Chinese product" that I would not be able to use. As far as it being adjustable to up to 50", I'd seriously question that. I adjusted mine to almost the maximum length to get it to fit my 32" waist. (Perhaps Chinese inches are smaller!?) Since there are well-spaced multiple metal hooks to attach the leash to the belt, at least two can be used simultaneously for added strength and protection in case one were to loosen or break (due to the strength of the dog's pull). This also helps ensure the belt does not rotate (and the belt loops do not rip) when pulled too hard. Some reviewers have pointed out that the metal rings break or separate, but I have not had any problem thus far with the technique I use. If you have a strong dog who pulls on the leash, you might want to try my technique! (Good luck finding pants with wide enough belt loops!) Although the description states there is reflective material in the leash, I have walked the dog numerous times after dark and never noticed ANYTHING. If it is there, it sure is hard to see! Overall, the hands-free leash is a GOOD idea and I got it to work well by not relying on using it as just a "waist belt" - putting it through belt LOOPS is essential, in my opinion. I did not buy the waist belt attachment. It didn't seem necessary because the leash was already hands-free. So, the $12.99 price for the waist belt and leash was reasonable. The quality is better than I expected.

Works Great
I use this to walk 2 dogs and it allows me to have a hand free to take care of "business." The shock absorber parts are just right and they cushion the force when the dog lunges or pulls. I find it a great tool to leash train because it takes a lot of strain off your arm joints. You can correct effortlessly by using your whole body to pull back. Handles are in a good spot. You can reach out and hold them in areas with shaky footing like rocky or downhill hiking paths to add more security to your balance. This vendor did a great job! I love this item.

Great For Strong Pullers!
I initially bought this to go running with my dog, but it has made everything so much easier! Not only can I walk/run with my dog, but I’m able to be hands free, so I can scoop his poop without holding onto the leash with one hand. I can also check the mail, take out the trash and do other tasks with him by my side (since our community requires dogs to be on a leash at all times when outside). We have a French bulldog and for such a small pooch, he is strong! This leash has held up well to his constant pulling, zoomies, and chewing. The waist belt feels very secure and I have no worries that it’s going to break if he starts tugging. For those with low back issues, you may have to take a break at times. When my dog pulls a lot, it does make my back a little sore, so I alternate between this leash and the regular handheld leash. Otherwise, one of the best investments for me and my dog!

I use this with my golden retrievers and it is amazing to know have to hold anything in my hands. I absolutely love this and recommend it to any pet parent! I promise you will fall in love with it

Works good
I've been using this leash for about a month now. It's now my go to leash. Like some other reviewers mentioned I do see the paint coming off at the friction points, but that seems typical when the manufacturer goes for style over longevity. But right now it's not an issue. The brand label sewn on has started to come undone, but the overall leash and its stitching seems to be holding up. My canine friend & I usually go for a 2 mile a day run. Sometime more. Now he just turned 1, & when he sees a squirrel he gets excited, or anything that moves peculiarly. So there is some pull. The elastic in the leash does seem to help with that. I tried to used a standard leash and quickly realized how much better it was for me to have his pull at my waist than my arm. When you're running/jogging you want to have full movement of your upper body as you maintain your stride, & a standard leash in hand doesn't offer that. There was an incident were the two off us are running on a sidewalk and I've tripped. The relief was in knowing that my dog wasn't able to run into traffic because he was tethered to my waist. As opposed to me holding a leash in hand that I probably would have lost grip of in that situation. The grips feel good in my hand, & I like the reflective bits in the waist band. I like how the pressure is taken off the plastic buckle, & put onto metal hoops. I don't think it's the most comfortable thing to have directly on your skin. So I usually am able to wear it over a shirt or something. Fortunately my dog has gotten a lot better with chewing on his leashes. With the extra handles built into the leash my hand won't get pinched with his pull, & I can easily use this without the belt. From Oct. 2021 through June 2022 we've been using this leash. Both running & bicycle. For the most part my friend veers inward when passing an obstacle that might snare the leash, but every now and then. A tree or street pole. Because of this I had to replace some of the metal hooks (spring snap hook) with carabineers. The load bearing kind. The fit snuggly into to the old loops, but they serve their purpose.

I love this but wish there was a option to purchase another leash
This is a game changer for walking 2 dogs. The only thing that would make it better is if I could purchase another leash to hook on to the second clip on the belt. Instead, I had to order two of these so I can use it with 2 dogs. I now have an extra belt band that I don't need. I will say that it works perfectly and I no longer get tripped up by my two dogs. I do recommend this but be prepared to purchase 2. I would easily give it 5 stars if there was the option to purchase two leashes.

Not suitable for Large Dogs
The fabric portions of the leash and blet are well constructed, however the plastic belt buckle and metal rings on the leash are not strong enough for a 60lb dog. On my second walk with my 60lb Lab, she was able to pull and shatter the belt buckle as well as bend open the rings on the metal clasps which led to her getting free. Fortunatly this happened in doors and she could not get far, but be aware that this product is NOT SUITABLE for large dogs. I am going to keep using the leash and belt after I replace all the metal and plastic hardware with solid metal peices without gaps she can bend open or shatter.
