Nutrivein Lutein & Zeaxanthin Eye Vitamins with Eyebright - 60 Capsules

I initially I was using an eye product that I did not see much difference with..so I was looking for a better formula. I came across AREDS2 and looked at the formula. It had 5x the amount of Lutein and double the bilberry as well as overall being a better formula for the same price as the other one. I am on the computer a lot doing research and taking classes so this is a great formula. I did notice a difference in a few days where my eyes did not hurt like they were before and I could focus a bit better. I am pleased with this product and would order it again. The formula is very good and it’s a vegetable cellulose capsule so it’s easily broken down (I don’t do well with tablets) this works great for me.

My retina specialist recommends I use an Eye vitamin that is AREDS 2 specific. I found this one on Amazon and ordered it delivered to my home. I really like this formula. I don't find it to have an after-taste like some vitamins do. My eyes have several challenges and this seems to be helping. My eyes don't seem to be as tired at night and I am not having the problem of them drying out so much.

I'm in my early 40s and my eyes are changing drastically. This spring they became so dry that I went through eye drops like there was no tomorrow. My vision suffered greatly bc of it (and having to work on a computer more than every before). It was so blurry, I became terrified. I could barely make out words / faces 20ft in front of me! My vision is critical to my job! Let's just say I can't miss once I'm back in the field (Corona paused). My eye doctor recommended these and I can't be more grateful! I'm using Omega eye drops at night so maybe, they helped w my vast vision improvement in one month idk. What I do know is my vision went back to what it was two years ago and I was able to be recertified again for my job when it came due. I will order again. Downside - The smell is atrocious!!! Gag inducing fish odor! And this is odd to me considering there is NO fish oil in it. - I followed the under-the-cap promo and have yet to get it.... .... ..... Perhaps they don't honor it any longer......

The supplement made a difference in my eyesight. I have my contact lens prescription checked at my annual eye appointment, but I was having such trouble seeing I paid to have them rechecked. The problems was the prescription I was now too strong. Within 4 months of using Ared 2 supplement my vision improved dramatically. Also, as one of side effects of the medication I'm prescribed I experience dry eyes. There is some improvement, but not as significant as the improvement in sight. I will continue use the product.

So far I haven't noticed anything change with my vision. But I understand this can take time which is why I bought 2 bottles. First, I was short changed. Supposed to be 60 pills (30 days worth). I just ran out 3 days early. There were 55 pills instead of 60 in the first bottle. Second, over time, the pills start smelling and tasting like fish. And not a pleasant fish. I will chalk this first bottle being short on pills as a fluke for now. Starting 2nd bottle tomorrow. Will come back to this an update once that is done.

I have been using AREDS 2 for over 3 weeks now. I can definitely tell the difference in my vision. Things are clearer then they were before. I was taking other eye pills previously and since using AREDS 2 I really can see better. And I had been taking other eye pills for many years. I'm sold on AREDS 2 . Will they do the same for everybody? I don't know, everybody is different. It certainly worth a try though. Good Luck.

A few years ago, I was instructed by my optometrist to take an Areds 2 formula supplement. She recommended PreserVision by name and I used it for awhile, but it costs more than it should for the few ingredients it contains. This product has more of the core ingredients zeaxanthin and lutein as well as a great combination of vitamins, minerals and medicinal herbs. My eyes feel good and my sight seems sharp and I’m feeling less eye strain.

I have cataracts in both eyes, macular degeneration in one (the left eye). I tried this supplement for a while and felt ill after taking it. Seller gave me a refund, so hats off to the seller. I eventually gave it another try and seem to be tolerating it now. I like that it contains so many of the nutrients recommended and is 'smoker-friendly' with regard to the amount of vitamin E. Too much vitamin E can increase the risk of lung cancer in smokers and former smokers. My only concern is I've been reading that the added zinc and copper can sometimes make macular degeneration progress faster. It depends on a specific gene. I do notice I am developing some copper color in the unaffected eye (the right) near the pupil, not just my 'normal' gold ring. This is the 'good' eye. Interestingly, in the years preceding my diagnosis, I had developed some very pretty copper spokes and splotches in both of my green eyes, more in the 'bad' eye with the macular degeneration (the left). These splotches disappeared from both eyes right around the time of my diagnosis. I'm guessing these splotches were pigment? Did this pigment in my iris migrate and contribute to macular degeneration? Was it a warning sign? So I AM concerned that this supplement may have caused the pigment in my 'good' eye to develop, but then again, I AM an avid gardener...scared to death now of the sun. My left cheek is more wrinkled than my right. I have a blotch/age spot, just below my left eye, the eye with the macular degeneration. I will probably alternate this with some of the other supplements I am taking just in case it is helping and not hurting.
