I have to edit this review but in the name of honesty I'll leave the original unedited below. I think what the reason for this is that my sense of taste has been influenced by cold weather, seasonal allergies, or something like that. What happened was that I saw the label saying "new improved taste" (even though that's not what I see in the pictures online, very confusing) and when I tasted it, it seemed much less tasty than I remember it being, I instantly concluded that the new improved taste must be one of those marketing moves where they make it cheaper and pretend it's about improving the taste. Anyway, I found one of the old cans somewhere and saw that the first ones that I bought also had the "new improved taste", so any difference that I've noticed probably isn't real. I suppose I have to wait until the summer to see if they still taste the same. Here's the original review I wrote before this edit: I bought a box a few months ago and it was great, pretty much the same as any orange soda. I wish I could do a side by side comparison. From what I remember about the old one, the only thing I can say is that the new one tastes cheaper, I don't know how else to describe it.

Nice drink. Bit sharp, but not too much. Got it at a good price. Does give an energy boost when you need it. I like it and would recommend.

Excellent taste - just a tad more expensive than the berry flavour but makes for a change. Prefer mine chilled with ice if possible - So far I`ve tried the Berry, the Apple and the Orange cans.. Hard to choose a fav tbo. They all taste great. Like the fact that are delivered to your door next day. And at a price that`s cheaper than any shop.

Could be helped with more flavour. Need to be stored in a fridge otherwise they taste poor

Although some Carabao drinks have (to me) a rather metallic taste, this has a rather pleasant orange flavour.I And why I prefer this to other energy drinks is that it provides a significant energy boost, for rather less liquid volume (reducing need for "pit stops"!) That means that there is less temptation to reach for one simply when thirsty, and reserve them for their intended purpose. It is based on taurine rather than caffeine and so I find it has neither the jitteriness that overuse of caffeine as a stimulant produces, nor is there any withdrawal effect. Obviously no energetic can be considered "healthy", but this is one that is enjoyable to drink and seems to minimise the negative effects.

Usually I don't mind artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. But the poor quality of this energy drink really surprised me. Based on the name orange blast I expected an orange flavour I.e. made from oranges. Or atleast artificial flavours to make the drink taste like orange juice. I was shocked to see the flavour comes from "concentrate black carrot" I'm not an expert but I believe its this along with whatever other preservatives flavourings and sweeters that were added that give this a very distinct and inexcusable artificial flavours. To say it doesn't taste like anything would be wrong. It has a flavour but that flavour is unlike anything I've ever taste before and just tastes fake somehow

My lovely husband loves this drink; having been unwell for some time, he needed to build up his energy levels, but he disliked the taste of most energy drinks. He tried several different makes and was about to give up when he found Carabao. Since then, he's drunk nothing else. Not only does he enjoy the taste, he's found that the drink does actually slightly increase his energy. Good stuff!
