I've had this lite for about 2 yrs now. Still working beautifully. Solved the low-light problem for my orchids.

I purchased several brands of these to test for potential use over a small frag rack in my reef tank. Here are my findings taking light measurements at different distances. I found this unit to have about the same output as another cheaper brand, “bseah”, but this one has whiter light. Measurement Equipment: Apogee SQ-500 Quantum Sensor -Selectively measures Photosynthetic Active Radiation (PAR) -Measurement units: umol/m2/s Watts of power consumed: 7.6 Measured PAR @ 5inches: 97 (less than 1sq ft coverage) Measured PAR @ 2inches: 264 (less than 0.5 sq ft coverage) Measured at recommended 20 – 30cm: 25 (quite useless unless supplementing good ambient light) Conclusion: At full power this would need to be verry close to most houseplants to be adequate. Also, low level lighting like this really should be on for at least 16 hours, but the timer only works up to 12 hours. You can not use an external timer because when power is interrupted it loses all memory function and resets to off, does not come back on. This is the biggest deal breaker for me and took one star off because of it. Otherwise it would be an ok light for the price. Most tropical houseplants may actually do better if you left this light on 24/7 than 12 hours. There have been studies done on this and equatorial tropical plants tend to do well with 24/7 lighting. This may be bad for short day flowering temperate plants though. For reference plants need (PAR in umol/m2/s ): Very Low-Light Houseplants (Begonia pavonina) 20–40 Low-Light Plants (African Violets, Tropical Begonias) 40–80 Moderate-Light Houseplants (Low-light Aroids like Anthuriums and Pothos) 80–150 High-Light Houseplants (Tropical Succulents like Christmas Cactus, Philodendrons, Monstera) 150–350 Very High-Light Houseplants (Tropical Trees like Chocolate, Citrus, etc) 350–600 Full-Sun Plants (Cannabis, Fruiting Trees/Shrubs, Eucalyptus, Desert Cacti) 600–2,200 Soft Corals (zoanthids, palythoa, mushrooms and leathers): 50-150 PAR LPS Corals: 50-150 PAR Hard Corals (stony corals, small polyp stony): 200-500 PAR

It works just fine

*Update* 2/25 ~ 5 months later Okay so the plants that have been under these lights for around 5 months now are doing very well, they're nice and hardy and have definitely grown a considerable amount considering it's winter and they don't get consistent actual sunlight, only these lights. I'd recommend these lights for small setups, with only a few smaller plants. Anything larger like a grow cabinet I'd maybe shop around more, but for these guys that I had to keep in my room these lights have been perfect --- I have a weird work schedule and sometimes need to sleep during the day and don't open blinds for days at a time. These lamps are easy to setup and seem to be doing a good job giving my plants enough light. I haven't noticed any negative changes in plants overall, no growth but it is winter so I cant say if the lights would allow for new growth or not

The timer on these works. It only turns off after the set amount of time, doesn't turn back on, so if you are looking for lights that cycle 12 hours on/off automatically then keep looking. The brightness level is pretty decent, I use this to help because my plants are several feet from a window. I wouldn't recommend this light as the only light source for your plants because it's just not bright enough. My biggest gripe is that the power adapter wall plug died after a few weeks of use. It just stopped turning on this morning. I swapped it for another adapter since I have a few laying around but it was very frustrating since I haven't had this light set very long. It needs an adapter with at least 5.0v output, so you can't just get a cheap 2.5v one somewhere. Hoping this was just a fluke but if your light randomly stops working try swapping the adapter before you trash the whole thing.

The lights work great on my basil plants that I keep indoors during winter time. I learned that you don't have to water your basil as much when there indoors, they work great!

This product is junk. Don't buy it. It is not strong enough. Your plants won't survive on this. Throwing it away.

Product quality is good, I am not sure about the required result since I am using only for 2 weeks but it is easy to place anywhere, moveable, the claimed that it has 6000K, lets see the rsults till now working fine later ill add my comments after using it long
