Surprisingly great for my big feet
After scouring through Amazon for hours (no joke), I selected these. It seems like the others ones, despite having sizes like "3XL" are still not large enough for my slightly-wider size 13 (mens) feet. I got these because I just had a little unplanned surgery on my foot just before heading to the Caribbean and did not want to get sand in the area. It was fine to get it submerged--but I needed it to be free of sand. When I received it and tried it on, I was impressed that the largest size here could actually contain my high-volume foot AND it was easy to put on and around the wound. After snorkeling along the shore for hours, it did not let any sand in and it was comfortable. It also seemed to hold up very well to walking on rough and rocky shores--but don't think it cushions anything--you'll feel every rock edge, but at least it won't cut a hole in it.

Perfect Beach Sand Sock
This is the perfect sand/beach sock. Purchased to use for three 6 week seasons of sand volley ball this summer. We had our final game last week and they are still like new. I wear a size 71/2 or 8 woman’s shoes and the small size was a great fit. Wore them two or three times a week for hours at a time since May and they are still holding up well. I will be able to use them at the beach this winter to keep my feet warm. It did take a few wears to get used to the feel of walking on sand and not “feeling” it. But after the second wear, I completely forgot I had them on. A few things to mention: These socks will NOT keep sand out, but they greatly reduce it. Only a bit of fine particles get inside if you have the Velcro closed correctly around your ankle. They are also NOT meant for wear on concrete or asphalt. I used mine strictly for sand and had sandals ready to use when heading back to my bike or the car. The top of the shock is Lycra material and the sole is a neoprene on the bottom is not thick, and not like a sturdy sole. It’s just thick enough to prevent little sticks or bits of sharp “pokey things” from getting to the soles of your feet or the hot sand from scorching if the sand is hot. Also, there are seams, which didn’t bother me at all and I have pretty sensitive feet, but if seams freak you out you may want to search for a dog product. I would not recommend these for use at the water park or other places where you’ll be walking around on hard surfaces unless you plan on tossing them at the end of the day because they will get holes fast. On sand, if used cautiously, they will last a long time. Overall a great purchase and I’ll be getting new ones to replace these if/when these wear out. Pro Care Tip: Avoid washing machine and hand washes them for best care of fabric. Hang dry. So far it’s kept mine looking tip-top!Photos: On foot - day of arrival try-on , both socks inside out (after months of wear) , both socks outside (after months of wear).

Couldn't play volleyball without them
I wear these sand socks for playing sand volleyball. I actually hate wearing them, and would prefer to play barefoot, but doing anything barefoot on sand is a major trigger for my plantar fasciitis. So I wear a tight compression sleeve over each foot to support the arches, and then I slip these sand socks over for added protection, support, and grip. (I've also inserted a supportive shoe insole at times, when I need even more arch support.) Works great, and allows me to continue playing my favorite sport.I play every week from April to October, and one pair of these sand socks seems to get me through the whole season, and sometimes part of the next. Considering what a beating they take against the sand, I'm pretty happy with that. And they've held up better than some other brands I've used in the past. The only weak point seems to be the velcro strap, which isn't sewn on the best.

I truly wanted to love these, but there is a significant seam along the toes which is abrasive. Otherwise, they are comfortable and for sand/water shoes, they are relatively cute. Personally, we spend long hours walking on the sand and in the water; we may be in the water for several hours daily (searching for seashells) with both rocky and sandy surfaces. For other needs, these may be fine, but when I wore them in the water and they were wet for several hours, the seam caused blisters on my toes. This led to the need for applying bandaids and moleskin every morning before putting on the Seasnug. I was hoping that they would be so comfortable that I would buy other colors, but it just didn't suit the purpose for shelling. They may be fine for swimming and walking across hot sand; they just didn't work out for shelling. Love the colors, don't like the seam.

Love them for cold sand volleyball!
I play sand volleyball April - September.... in Nebraska... so needless to say the sand is really cold in the beginning of the season and sometimes the whole season you never really know. But I've worn these the last two weeks and they have helped tremendously to keep my feet warm! I even wear an extra pair of socks inside to keep my feet warmer longer. At the end of the night I can still feel my whole foot (it's a miracle), however, toes do get slightly cold at the end of the night as they aren't made to keep your feet dry. Overall this has been the best investment I've made and even had other players on my team buy them- shout out to Christie if she reads this- Sand socks rock!!

Can't say enough good things about these socks
Wow! At a friend's recommendation, I bought a couple pairs of SeaSnugs to wear under my dive boots for SCUBA. The soles grip enough to keep the boots comfortably in place for an entire day's worth of diving. The socks conform nicely to my feet to stay in place. Plus, they are great to walk on before/after the boots go on/off. The socks are high enough to stick out the top of the boot, and the Velcro keeps them up. I wear these for every dive and simply toss them in the cold wash with the bathing suits to clean them up. Excellent product!

worked well but still got sand in and felt like the soles would not hold up to walking down the the beach. Just used them on the beach and while snorkeling. Did prevent the jellyfish swarm from stinging my ankles..
