Q: What is the pore size of these encasings? How many microns?

Those questions are far more technical that I know.But I do know that they help me greatly with my allergies and very easy to maintain.

Q: Do these crinkle / make noise?

I do not find them to that at all. They are a blend mostly cotton and have a cool feel to them too which is lovely if you use as I do to travel and protect me from feather pillows and laundry perfumes others might use as well as the occasional dirty or smokers pillow scents. I use both as a guest in others homes descreetly and at hotels and motels. Take up little to no room in the suitcase.

Cloth inside and out. No membrane.Easily washable and durable.

Q: is the material thick enough so feathers won't poke through?

I think so. I haven't had that problem.
