Alright, so I picked up this 4-pack of Nite Ize CamJam Cord Tighteners, and honestly, they're pretty slick. I'm not exactly a knot-tying wizard, and trying to get a tarp taut when it's windy is usually a comedy of errors. These little guys totally solve that problem. The carabiner design is what caught my eye. Just clip it onto whatever you're trying to secure, run your cord through the cam, and pull. It locks right in place, no fuss. And if you need to adjust it, just release the cam and slide the cord. Super simple. I used them to tighten down a tarp over my firewood, and they held up great. They feel sturdy, even though they're lightweight. I like that you can use them in a couple of different ways, either looped around something or fixed in place. That flexibility is a plus. The size is perfect too, small enough to throw in my camping gear or toolbox without taking up much space. And the fact that you get four in a pack means I've got plenty for different projects. Honestly, for anyone who struggles with knots or just wants a quick and easy way to secure things, these CamJams are a no-brainer. They've definitely earned a spot in my outdoor gear. Nite Ize seems to know what they're doing with these practical little tools.

I'm pretty happy with this product. Easy enough to use for light duty applications, like pulling a line tight for a tarp at camp. The material they are made of looks like some kind of glass filled nylon/plastic and they feel sturdy for light work. The only concern I have is the cam, I added a photo for a better understanding. The cam can lift a little off its base and this could potentially allow smaller lines or cords to get under the cam. I noticed this using 550 paracord. The larger the line the less the potential problem. That being said I think these are definitely something I will be packing in my gear when I camp. Specs say you can fit a 2-5mm line in them.

Wow! I have needed these my entire adult life. I have been boating, motorcycling, and camping for thirty years or more, and that includes lots of rope, cords, and knots. Every year i review my knot tieing book before boat season, but in 20 years, my memory continues to forget knots. I can do square knots and some clove hitch variations, but thats all that sticks. These cam lock carabiners are amazing. I saw one on a friend's boat and had to buy some. I use them to keep boat covers tight, to keep the cover hem line taught, and to adjust fender rope heights quickly. They are great for blue tarp hanging, strapping stuff to cargo carriers. Get some paracord and the possibilities are endless. I bought 4 plastic can jams for light work, and 4 aluminum for heavier loads. The aluminum ones come in 2 sizes. The large are for 1/4 Inch rope and up ( boat stuff). The regular small ones are for paracord. Expensive, but worth the functionality. Get one to try!

Saw some other advertisement on a similar Cam product, these are great, same functionality. Ordered with some paracord, make them as needed, handy when needed.

Where have these been all my life? I ordered a couple of sets to secure our pool cover because bungee cords were just dry rotting year after year. These CamJam cord tighteners are so much easier, sturdier, and more reliable. Honestly, this is one of the best inventions I’ve seen in a long time. Highly recommend!

Nice sturdy clips are great what I use them for which is clipping together x-pens in my yard to keep my dogs off. I use them all year and they are very strong I use them all the time and there easy to open and close. Great product, good quality well worth the money.

Great price for these. I've been wanting to try them for the temporary tarp on my sailboat because tying and untying paracord gets tedious while working. They work pretty well with standard paracord. I managed to get them to work with a fabric strap, but it tends to slip behind the cam. Those cams come off too...and if you're not quick they will go in the water and not float. So minus one star because it didn't float when it didn't work for my unusual use-case scenario. But great for the tarp in general.

ACTUALIZACIÓN - No lo usen en la playa, puse un toldo y la arena se metió al espacio donde traba el gancho el cordón... Desde entonces se atasca y ya no funciona. Pero no es algo propio del producto, sino un error como usuario. Cómo tal el producto es muy bueno.

Great device's, used for canoe sailing held in strong winds and under load. Release took a bit to work out smoothly but after a week or so its great. Using 5mm cord.
