while I do not have a camera the same as yours, I am going to say "YES"! it is very sturdy. in order to test my answer, so I am not just talking out of my hat, I set up the tripod, then balanced a 5 (FIVE) pound dumbbell on it. it did not deflect in the slightest on any of the legs. I repeated this w/ the legs spread wider w/ the same result. so, unless you plan to put it in a very odd position, it should be more than fine.
