Excellent replacement battery. It brought my laptop back to life and now it holds a solid charge again. Installation was straightforward and it fit perfectly without any issues.

After about five years with my Dell Inspiron, the original battery stopped holding a charge. I replaced it with the 42Wh YRDD6 battery, and it’s been fantastic. The installation was simple, and the battery immediately performed like the laptop was brand-new again. I can now unplug and work for several hours without worrying about running to an outlet. Just received my replacement battery for a Dell Latitude. The replacement came with screwdrivers to remove the laptop case and a plastic wedge tool to help open the case if needed. Battery provided was the exact size as the oem, and was easy to install after removing the original. The laptop powered right up without the power adapter - just the battery, as they suggested it should be done. Showed up with 68% charge on the battery. The instructions were helpful, showing how to manage the charge by letting it drop to 5%, then charge to 95%, etc. for the first few cycles. For the last two hours two I've been running updates, scans and other power intensive tasks. Battery status shows the battery draining very, very slowly. I'm only a couple hours in, and am happy with the purchase. Hopeful this will last several years. Looks like it has a one year warranty. Great price compared to oem!

My Dell Inspiron 7577's OEM battery life had dwindled to something like 15 minutes after 3 years. Dell's price is well over $100 and I'm relatively handy with computers so I didn't have a problem buying an aftermarket part, especially as other ratings on this particular item were pretty good. I downloaded the repair manual for my laptop, and as soon as this battery got here, went to replace it. Taking the back off a 7577 is easy. Removing the screws that hold the battery in place is easy. Removing the CONNECTOR from the old battery (to be able to connect it to the new one) is nerve-wracking - seriously, those are the thinnest, most FRAGILE wires and connectors I've seen. If you do this, DO NOT PULL ON EITHER CONNECTOR (the end that fits on the computer as well as the one that fits on the battery). I used the point of a HAND SEWING NEEDLE to gently pry both ends of the battery cable free - very slowly, a nudge on one side and then again on the other, until it was far enough off the pins to be able to lift it off the rest of the way (GENTLY!!). Putting it back on the new battery was the reverse - fitting it gently onto the pins and then pushing one side, then the other with the eye of the needle. I had to take off BOTH ends of the cable - the computer connector and the battery because the wires are SO thin, I did not want to flip the cable over (the connector is on the side facing down, of course, so you have to flip it if you don't remove the computer end first). I was seriously afraid I'd snap the wires if I did flip it over. Once both connectors were in place, screws back in and the laptop's back put back on, the system booted without incident. The battery did not have a full charge, and once I charged it I ran the laptop till shutdown three or four times, to condition it. It currently holds a charge a little over 2 hours (not much different from the original OEM battery), which I'm pleased with. By the way, the screwdrivers this ships with? Don't need 'em for this purpose (a small Phillips head is fine), and they're pretty cheap/chintzy anyway. The battery seems to do what it's supposed to, and I'm happy with that. Vendor shipped it quickly and followed up with a warranty email.

When my laptop battery stopped working, my son went to a computer store to buy another battery, and after he replaced it, that battery didn't work, and he had to return it. The computer store did not have the correct battery for my laptop, so he found this one. He replaced it, and it works perfectly in my laptop. It was easy to install and saved me money. Glad that Amazon had the correct battery.

I installed this battery into a Dell Inspiron 7586 model laptop. The swap was very easy and fast - it took longer to unscrew the case screws than to actually swap the battery. A small screwdriver and a pry tab were supplied in the box, which helped. Note, the position of the cable receptacle on the replacement is roughly an inch inward from the original battery, so the cable itself is longer than necessary with the new battery - I was able to gently fold it and tuck it beside the body of the battery so it sits flush. Turned the laptop back on (without power cable, as recommended in the instructions) and it booted right up as normal. There was roughly half charge on the battery (but I'd waited several months between purchase and installation). Happy with this replacement battery. Definitely overdue as the original was already swollen, as can be seen in photo, and no longer holding charge.

be sure to look at the wattage rating on the back of your existing battery and make sure the new one matches it. I ordered this one because it said "compatible" with my T480 laptop. Well this is only a small 24 watt battery that is omly half the power of my 48 watt factory battery and goes dead quickly. However the shipping was great and the quality seems ok, just get one that matches your power rating so you dont have to have some body reprogram your BIOS settings to make your system work with a different watt hour battery.

I would have given it a 5 except one of the screwdrivers included in the kit broke while getting the cover off. Luckily I found another amongst my tools that fit

The battery arrived on time and was simple to install. I've had this battery installed on the laptop for 3 months now and has worked flawlessly and got me through a couple of power outages. I would recommend this battery when a replacement is needed.
