Not a good choice!
My family is the family that liked Kraft Mac n Cheese. So I have been on the search for one that was at least as good as that. This is definitely NOT it! My husband, daughter, and I each took a bite and looked at each other for our reactions. What we saw was the face of "what did we just put in our mouths" look. They immediately gave up, I on the other hand knew how much it cost so I decided it was worth a second bite. After all some gluten free foods you just have to get past that first initial taste. So I dug in again. Bad idea! I found there to be a bad after taste left in my mouth. The one thing I will say is the noodles we used from the second box were fine. The sauce not so! I have encountered other boxed GF mac n cheeses that were definitely better.

Better than wheat pasta.
This is better than wheat pasta. I don't know why the world ever settled on wheat for making pasta if this is available. It has a "silkier" mouth feel than wheat pasta. This is to wheat pasta as wheat pasta is to whole wheat pasta. I am GF and this is one product where I feel bad for the "wheaties" (those who eat wheat.) I buy in bulk and the only way I eat any other type of Mac-n-cheese is if I run out and the local store is "closer" than ordering online. BTW, I don't find a lot of difference in the cheese flavor (packs), but this also tastes very cheesy. Overall it beats the competition in every way. Also, it does hold up pretty well if you make it the night before and take it to work for lunch the next day.

Flavorless Mush
This was so gross! I cooked it as instructed. I have many many many years knowledge of making different boxed Mac n cheese. It looked great as it was cooking. I tried a noodle after 2 1/2 minutes and it just sort of dissentegrated in my mouth like cotton candy. I immediately drained the water. Thinking maybe the cheese sauce would save it, I added cheese powder plus butter and milk. As I started mixing it just sort of became on large lumb of blah. Even the cheese powder was sub par. First time in my life I threw away Mac n cheese. Spend the extra $1 and buy Annie's gluten free Mac n cheese. Honestly even buying Kraft Mac n cheese and getting a gluten attack would be a better choice then this flavorless mush!

Good food, low sodium, and it has a monkey. What else is there?
This is a tasty low sodium macaroni and cheese replacement product. My sodium restricted sixteen-year-old loves this product. It is very pricey. For that reason, I have taken away one star. I will be ordering it again. It's a comfort food. It's good to have on hand, but at the price we won't be cooking this up on a regular basis.

... average rating because my kids still thought it tasted good!
This got mushy and broke up but I'm giving it an average rating because my kids still thought it tasted good!

Not that good
Tastes a little funny for sure. I really like mac and cheese with rice pasta, and this was honestly not that good. I won't be buying it again.

Not what I was looking for.
I was looking for that traditional taste of the blue box. It was not close. It seemed a little chalky too. It is Gluten Free so they don't taste like the blue box anyway, but there are better Gluten Free ones out there.

disintegrated
Pasta disintegrated within minutes. I know how to cook pasta al dente and this pasta became mush. Amazon refunded me, said it was a fluke. Give it a try if u like. Im sticking with annies GF mac and cheese even though it isn't made of brown rice.
