Very sturdy and good quality

Keep in mind, this grill is pretty inexpensive, but... How can such a simple grill be basically next to impossible to put together. It didn't help that it came missing a couple bolts and nuts, but hey... The instructions are worthless. You are basically just guessing how to put it together. Good Luck!

Got this for my husband and he loves it...had the same one which finally had to quit using ...love being able to adjust the cooking grate.

I had one of these in the past, and grilled on it until it finally wore out. I purchased a different grill that didn't have all of the features and wasn't happy. I had to go on-line to Amazon to find the Meco Stand Up grill because I couldn't find it in any local stores. I am so happy!! The only draw-back I found is the directions to put it together were somewhat confusing, so it took some time to get it right. But now that I have used it I'm very very happy, and use it a few times a week. The best feature is the movable grill function.

This new grill I ordered is similar to one like it I had for 30 years which finally rusted out after being outside the whole time. I bought a new one but the smoke outlet on top leaks badly when rained on thus wetting the charcoal inside rendering some of it unusable which is a real bummer. I had to buy a clay dish to put over it. Also the new grill is several inches shorter than the same grill of old. I guess they put shrinkflation to work. I put a 13 in square steel plate in the bottom of the original grill and put it into the new one. I am certain this added many years to its life. I sprayed heat resistant black paint to the bottom section again to add some life. This grill is vertcital, cooks well, and has good heat control which is why I bought another. I will extend the legs to get it at a more comfortable level. Never had a gas grill as will I never will. There were no missing parts and easy to put together

This is the third one of these that we have bought. (This one was a present.) It has all of the features that you might want. The grill can be raised or lowered depending on the heat of the fire. It has vents that can be opened with the lid down so that chicken doesn't burn. When you are done, you can close the vents to put out the fire and salvage the remaining charcoal. It has wheels so that it can easily be moved around. What I don't understand is why the black version costs $40 more than the red one.

I was Really happy to see made in America when I looked at the box. and they make a big point of telling you that. I'm sorry to say this bbq is a piece of junk. It showed up with a big dent in the top. and the bottom was full of scratches. not one piece of this thing is put together. Not even the little vent on top of the lid. I paid 69.99 for this thing and looked at the home depot ad this morning. 39.99 for some Chinese made piece of junk that looks better then this piece of junk. Get a webber bbq.

This bar-b-que grill works great! And, it's a terrific value. As they say, some assembly required. I saved the fold out trays and bottom storage rack from my last unit to use on my new grill. It's good to know the model has remained in production for some time now.

Vor vielen Jahren hatte ich so einen Grill schon einmal, der dann irgendwann durchgerostet war. Bin so glücklich, wieder einen zu haben. Einfachste Art und Weise, den Abstand zwischen Kohle und Fleisch zu regulieren. Love it.
