Holy SmokeSmoked Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 8.5 FZ

I use to buy from Whole Foods store near my home and they have stopped carrying, so happy to find on Amazon. Sadly my purchase was shipped in an envelope and the bottle was broken and leaking all over my condo package room. The oil is great, shipping from Amazon was awful. Amazon refunded my money but really wanted the oil! I have purchased many bottles from Amazon in the past that were packed in bubble wrap and sent in boxes.

I probably would not have known this was smoke flavored if I didn’t read the bottle. I guess it has a slight flavor *because* I read the bottle, but it’s easy to miss. It’s not bad, it’s just not what I expected. Overpriced for such a small bottle.

I believed the hype. Should have known better. Yeah it tastes and smells like cheaper olive oil with a smoke finish to it. Not Bacon taste at all. Better to get a really good Italian Small Batch olive oil with really good Olive Flavor.

I love this oil! It's much stronger than what's available at the grocery store, but without overpowering the natural notes of the olive oil itself. It's wonderful as a finishing oil for cajun or Spanish-style pasta and chicken, or as part of a Tex-Mex style fish/meat marinade. This oil makes it so easy to instantly add a smoky flavor without firing up the smoker and waiting 6-12 hours!

Great flavor. I have used it for dipping. I have also mixed it with plain olive oil to add just a bit of smoke flavor to a dish. It has worked well for baked potato soup, fajitas and chili.
