Not a pet carrier.
Pretty nice basket, and easy to mount, but marketing it as a pet carrier, imo, is pretty silly.I bought it for that purpose, and I will not be using it. Because of the mounting mechanism (on the handlebars, not the frame), it tilts when turning and your pet will slide about and mess with your balance, while, unless they're tiny, threatening to fall out.I'll be keeping it as a basket, because unfortunately I couldn't find any front-frame mounting pet carriers, but I'll be buying a sling to use for my dog until I rig something together myself.Granted, I'm using a tricycle, so turns require more action on the handlebars, but the tilt starts early enough to be of concern if you're moving at even a mild clip.

I'm waiting for a collapse
This is my second basket of this style. My first one lasted two years, but I worry this will be much less. I go with this type because it has an integrated bag that I can fill up with school bags or grocery and tie up on the top. I never exceed the weight anyway. However, this one is much less sturdy than the old one was.First of all, there were no instructions on how to fit it on the bike and I only found out what the black sticky bits are when I searched through questions and answers about the item. I think that ANY item where you need to fit something somewhere NEEDS to have instructions. Secondly, once I attached it and put some weight on, the screw just flew through the plastic bit and the basket was no longer attached to my bike. I then realised that there is a wider and narrower bit where the screw is supposed to fit through and that I should attach it to the narrower bit which I then did and that stayed put. I do worry that the screws will give up anytime and the basket will end up on the floor. Not sturdy, no instructions and too fiddly. Would not recommend this brand, although as mentioned before I had the same type from a different brand previously, which was fine, so I guess it's your luck which one you buy.

Mount is too small
The basket itself looks okay, but the mount is way too small and won’t fit on the handlebar so no point buying it as you won’t be able to mount on your bike.

Not safe for dogs who wriggle. No security.
As a shopping or picnic basket it is fine. However I bought for my jack Russell puppy to sit in and he managed to wriggle out and then jumped out. Luckily he’s ok but it could have been a lot worse. It needs some kind of attachment to the dogs collar to make more secure.

Full value for money!
It is simple to install, then it gets attached/detached in one move. It is safe for my dog approx 4 kgr, I would say up to 5 kgr would be safe enough. The volume is minimal and when detached can be folded and stored with the volume of a big book. Now my Pomeranian enjoys long rides with the ebike and everybody smiles at us! So far very happy with the purchase but I haven't tested for long.

Surprisingly good
I bought it not expecting much but I'm very happily surprised our puppy he who is now almost 4 kg is very happy in the basket and and now gets into it before we even start a bike ride. it's easy to fit it easy to attach and unattach and while, not waterproof it is easy to clean

Good quality basket
I was worried at first that this basket wouldn't fit my bike, but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. Its sturdy and solid once on the bike and my yorkies are happy (we bought 2 baskets). The basket does angle up on my bike in the front, but this isn't a problem, it even fits above the mud guard. My 4kg and 5kg dogs are happy in it and seem safe. There is no lanyard or strap to lock them in, I'm not sure of the reason but imagine its to do with safety? My dogs are happy and don't attempt to jump out.

Perfect dog basket
This basket is perfect, my dog loves it. He's a Shiatsu cross Jack Russell and he fits perfectly, he likes to sit up with his paws on the top. I also use his harness to keep him secure. It's easy to connect to the handle bar, and stays in place. Very sturdy. Totally recommend
