This thing has been amazing. Buying larger size- but not because this one isn’t working any more.
There are a LOT of choices of this kind of product for sale on Amazon. I noticed this one had gotten good reviews, so I ordered this product some time ago. My purchase has completely outperformed any expectations, and has proved to be one of the most durable and reliable items I have EVER purchased off of Amazon. If you are at a loss as to which plug-in pet heating pad to try, all I can say is, that I am SO glad I chose this one out of all of them.I have an outdoor cat I take care of. He’s semi-feral, and prefers living outdoors. I set up a shelter for him a few years ago and, as it snows here- not often, but it snows- and he finally started using it after a few weeks of sleeping on top of it. After a few months, knowing the cold weather was coming, I decided to put a heating source in his box with his bedding. He has a nice soft blanket and a cushion, and his box keeps direct cold drafts out of it, but when the temperature gets really low, I worried about him. I didn’t have much money at the time I saw this product on Amazon, so I ordered the smallest size of one. When it showed up, it seemed kind of pathetic. It was about the size of a handkerchief. It didn’t look like it was capable of much.Let me tell you- this product is AMAZING. You just plug it in, put it into the animal’s shelter (I sandwiched his between layers of his blanket) and the cat or dog etc. lays down on it and- this little thing keeps him as warm as hot toast. At first, too, I worried about keeping it plugged in all the time, but when he is not laying on it, it doesn’t heat up. I have an outdoor extension cord running from his box on the back porch to and outlet, and have had no problems with it at all. I’ve had his little pad plugged in since November of 2022, and it is still going strong. It made me so happy to glimpse him curled up in his shelter, sleeping happily, warm and secure, safe from the cold outside world he had lived in for so long.My kitty friend is getting older, and I have a bit more to spend now, so I am upgrading to the Large sized heating pad. But I have to say- I really don’t need to: the smallest one keeps him plenty warm. I will just keep the smaller sized pad, and when the larger one arrives, I will donate it to a shelter, as I am certain it has many years of life left in it.I cannot recommend this product more. It works so well that I kind of forgot about it, and had been meaning to write a review for it. But I just never thought about this little pad, because it was just so reliable. If you are on the fence about buying this product, or confused as I was by all of the choices, all I can say is- go for it. Sadly, it is a surprise these days that something we buy meets our expectations. And when a product performs this spectacularly- it’s a blessing. It’s so wonderful that such a small thing can make such a big positive difference in another creature’s life. I hope this helps. Thank you.

So Far Still Working Outside As Advertised 16 Months Later! My Indoor/Outdoor Rescue Cat LOVES This!
My rescue kitty will "tolerate" being inside if he decides to sleep somewhere there during the day, or comes in to be a "lap kitty" while watching TV in the evening. But after a few hours in, he wants back out, and certainly prefers to be out at night, since he pretty much lives for "the thrill of the hunt!" He's VERY good at it too! And I'm good with that, as he will wake me to let him out in the middle of the night, unless it's super stormy / "pouring" out there, and I can't always get right back to sleep, which I HATE when that happens! He has a nice "Kitty Condo" up high in our 3 sided carport with 2 comfy "hut" options that gives him refuge from weather when he wants it to cozy up in out of the wind. He's not exactly Ferrel, but he had a rough start in life, and still prefers not being closed in for very long. THIS heat pad works EXACTLY as advertised.. VERY cheaply, and gives him the "heated / unheated" option in one of his spaces if he wants it. I like that I don't have to worry about him getting cold overnight if the temps drop to 20's or teens! And I can tell that As Advertised.. the pad, which I inserted under the "fill" in his pet bed, doesn't get overly hot for him! He just seems comfortable as can be when I go to check on him. Feeling under him, it's nice and WARM, but not "hot". And when he's not in the bed, I don't feel any heat at all. Perfect! I do unplug the pad once summer temps approach, the reverse as temps head toward winter. I see the price go up and back down on this pad, and even ordered a second (same brand) larger one as a back up should this stop working at a bad time. But for the $21 and change I paid, it's great peace of mind when it's cold or stormy. Definitely "Rescue Cat Approved" at our house!

13 watt model draws 13 watts; 4 watt model draws 7watts
These low wattage warmers are essential as I only have a battery pack to power them out at the duck pen. The ducks are Muscovy, ie; South America rain forest warm climate ducks and anything below 20 fahrenheit stresses 'em. While the warmers are low power low warmth, when the ducks lay on top and trap its' warmth, it's enough to matter. Instead of dealing with cold seeping from the ground up thru their straw, they get warm feet and bellies. I've found that by putting the batter power pack in a plastic container, [the battery pack creates its' own warmth], both the battery and the warming pads work at least down to 5 fahrenheit ! I place the pads in the middle of 7in packed straw and every winter after sunset, they head for their pen. Its' a better draw than offering them snacks to come into their pen! The 4-watt pad pulled 7 to 9 watts. The 13-watt pad started at 15 watts and promptly down to 14, then 13 watts. Although I've used both, the canvas covered ones seem like they'd have more evenly dispersed warmth. My cat doesn't like the 13-watt pad under her bed but loves the 4-watt pad and spends hours laying there, sometimes with her belly and paws up. The cats, ducks, and I are happy ☺

Worked warm and comfy all winter.
Worked really well. It kept the outdoor cat warm and comfy. Every time It got cold that's where he was...in his insulated heated den..

Worked perfectly for aging cat
Even with an additional space heater, my senior rescue cat wasn't faring well in our drafty old house this winter. She rarely leaves her bed, so I placed this heating mat below it and was impressed by how much more comfortable she seemed. It's a safer option than a regular electric heating pad/blanket because it doesn't get as hot and doesn't need to be turned on or off. I recommend it!

Will work well under certain conditions
My feral cat, Angel Kitty, sleeps on a stand on the deck. I wrap this pad in a soft cover and plug the cord into the socket during the night and unplug it during the day, except for winter when it's on 24/7. It is small enough for the stand and warm enough because of her body heat. I can see how this would not work for everyone, but it is great for my circumstances.

Works great
Tiny little pad that warms to a nice temperature and works great. Works better if there is a layer covering the pad and not directly on pet. Doesn’t create much warmth if there’s not an extra blanket over the top of it to Trap the warmth.

Even temperature
Use under bedding in whelping box. Even heat, doesn't have risk of overheating.

little guy loves it
the first one I was sent didn't work, I contacted the seller and they sent me out a replacement right away!Works fantastic and my cat loves it! I have a little cat bed on top of it in his cat tree, and he snuggles down and spends all day there! He's a tiny little guy (8 lbs) so likes heat all year round, this is perfect!

Very small

Pet bed warmer.
This is great. My bunny is 12 years old and less than 2 pounds. I was worried she would be too cold so I decided to give this a try. . As you can see, she loves it. At first I didn’t really feel any heat come off, but after a couple of hours I could feelHer bed was warmer.
