The book fans of Warren Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway cannot do with out!
I just got my cop of Andy Kilpatrick's new edition "Of Permanent Value" and it is terrific. Let me confess I have always been a fan of Andy Kilpatrick and have stated on many occasions I believe he is the official historian of all things Berkshire. There is a reason the book is called the "Elephant Edition"because it contains everything anyone would need to know to get a complete understanding of Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, Ben Graham and the many talentedmanagers at Berkshire including Ajit Jain, Greg Abel, Ted Wecshler and Todd Combs. But this is only the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more. My office library contains all the BerkshireHathaway Annual Report dating back to 1965. Next to Warren's Annual Reports is Andy's book. It is my encyclopedia and first reference when I have questions about Berkshire. No fan of Warren Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway can live without this book.Robert G. Hagstrom"The Warren Buffett Way"

Buffett-Berkshire Diamond Mine !
This is by far the best Buffett / Berkshire Hathaway book on the market. If you only buy one Buffett book spend the money on this one. I’ve read them all and they all offer something but this is the best. It has already paid for itself many times over with the wisdom I’ve gotten from it. $75.00 seems like a lot of money but it is the best $75.00 I’ve ever spent on a book. Remember when you’d spend $100.00-$135.00 for a college textbook and only used 2-3 chapters of it ? This book is different. Thanks Andy for spending so much time and effort writing this book !

The Most Complete Biography on Buffett
There have been several books written about Warren Buffett (slight understatement). This is the most complete I've found. Not only has Mr. Kilpatrick nailed the detail, he has also updated this book several times over the years so it is not only current but complete. So much is going on at Berkshire Hathaway that it's nice to have a book that keeps up. Make sure you get the latest edition so you don't miss anything along the way. Bottom line: It's an extremely well written and documented biography.

What a treasure!
If you are interested in the story of Warren Buffett and the history of Berkshire Hathaway, you need to add this book to your personal library. A single glance will let you know that this Elephant Edition is a true labor of love on the part of the author. From a historical standpoint, many of the illustrations and photographs included are worth the price all by themselves. Here you will find handwritten notes from Buffett the 21-year-old, keeping track of his investment performance....a copy of his first income tax return regarding his newspaper carrier business....stock recommendation reports from Buffett in his early 20's regarding "The Security I Like Best". You will learn more about the numerous individual companies in Berkshire's stable. Ever hungered to find out more about the amazing Harry Bottle, who was credited with providing critical management turnaround expertise for the Dempster Wind Mill Company? You'll find that here as well, along with a few photos. If a picture is worth a thousand words, the fact that this volume contains more than 2,400 pictures and illustrations means you're really getting your money's worth! It's a Big Book and clocks in at even more pages than another Big Book on my shelf (David Foster Wallace's "Infinite Jest", which I've been trying to make my way through for years now). But this Big Book sits on my coffee table, not my bookshelf, and has already been opened and enjoyed in just the first few days I've owned it, not just by me, but by other members of my family who aren't as much a fan of business stories as I am. Thank you Andy!
