Simple to use, good charge termination
This charger can charge 8 AA batteries at 500mA when you use a 5V 2A brick which almost everyone should have these days (one is not included per product page description). 500mA is an “ok” current for detecting the voltage drop at the end of charge when the battery is full. However, 700 or 1000mA would be even better for higher mAh batteries (like 2400+ mAh). I’ve ran about 60 batteries of various brands through here and the several I’ve tested with a multimeter have come out around 1.47-.1.49 volts. The batteries are warm at the end of charger but not hot which is another sign of a decent termination. Overall I’ve been impressed with Tenergy products. Their batteries average around the stated mAh that they advertise and aren’t inflated like EBL. I also have the their four slot combo charger (tn456) and like it as well. They are “good enough” products for a fair price. They don’t try to be too much and are very honest in their marketing.

This charger is the one to buy
I have an assortment of rechargeable batteries. The biggest selling point is that it can charge individual batteries. Other battery chargers require batteries to be charged in pairs. This doesn't work when certain devices use a set of 3 batteries. This charger can charge any combination of 1-8 of AA and AAA batteries. The display is also very useful to see if a battery is charging or full. The charger also keeps them topped up so just leave it plugged in for the next time I need batteries. Rechargeable batteries have also come a long way, in price, longevity, and performance. I use them anywhere I can as they last quite a while. Probably not as long as regular, non-rechargeable batteries, but long enough it's never been an issue. Buy this charger!

Finally one that works
I've been recharging all my batteries for many years. I've used a ton of chargers, but all of them - until now, had some problems with some of the batteries. It's so frustrating when a charger flashes "error" for some unknown reason, and all charging stops. And frantically swapping batteries trying to find the "bad" one so charging can continue. Not only does this one charge each individually, with unique power level displays for each, but it perfectly charges batteries that other chargers would not. I also appreciate the USB-C power option as well.

Works Reasonably Quickly
Arrived on time. Charges battery reasonably quickly. Less than 6 goes to charge all 8 batteries

Rapid Charger, surprised me.
The day the charger arrived I need 2 AAA batteries and charged them right away. I don't even think it took 1/2 hour. I can't comment on longevity or battery life, but the charger and I will be friends for a very long time. The Tenergy batteries I had in my floor fan remote needed recharging today. I use the remote several times per day, so I find these to be impressive.

Odd Numbers Work
I have several devices that take three AA or AAA batteries, and I love that this charger charges each battery separately, so I don't need pairs. It does require a separate power supply, but I have a lot of sources of 5 volts laying around, most of them 2 amps or better, so connecting this charger is a non-issue. The batteries get slightly warm, but not hot, and they charge in a reasonable amount of time. I've used it at least a dozen times since I got it, and it identified two bad batteries, and charged the rest with no problems. I verified by other methods that the two allegedly bad batteries were indeed bad. So far, I'm happy with this device.

Very nice charger, and the batteries are much better than expected
This is an excellent charger especially because it has fully independent slots and does not require charging in pairs. NOTE: USB port or converter is required as it does NOT plug into AC. Even the base batteries work fine for my application: small battery-powered undercabinet lights.

OK, but not as good as others I've used
Nice, versatile charger, but in the end it doesn't charge batteries as good as other chargers I have. After a full charge, the batteries measure about 1.2 volts in my tester. After charging in other chargers, the same batteries are getting very close to 1.5. We have lots of flameless LED candles that auto-light each day so rechargeable batteries are a must. Using this charger means we have to charge the batteries more often, but it does work.

Excelente cargador

Not Impressed
Some people said in the reviews they received a wire for the charger, but I didn't - no problem though. Got these to use with my xbox controllers. The batteries seemed to die out really quickly when I took them out of the box. I wondered maybe it was because they weren't fully charged when I got them. Put them in a charger overnight and the indicator mentioned they were fully charged. When I put the batteries back in, they seemed to last 1/4 of the time that other batteries have in the past for me. Pretty disappointed, will be making a return and purchasing a different brand.
