Amazing Unit, Passionate Support, Doesn't get any better than this!
This is an incredible unit. It's fast, versatile and the screen is beautiful. There is absolutely no lag navigating or switching songs. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase!!!INSTALLATIONIt's also incredibly easy to install, at least it was on my 2007 Rav4 (No jbl). I have no prior experience in car audio installation and did this in less than an hour by watching youtube videos. The best video I found for how to disassemble the rav4 panels is on youtube called "Bluetooth Kit for Toyota RAV4 2006-2012 by GTA Car Kits."Here are the tools I bought from Amazon to get the job done which cost me about $35:Stanley 89-199 16 Piece 1/4-Inch Drive 6-Point Socket SetBYKES Set of 32-Inch & 47-Inch Stainless Steel Extendable Telescoping Magnetic Pick-Up Tool with 15-lb Pull Capacity8 Way Philips Precision Screwdriver w/ Magnetic TipKINGLAKE® Auto Door Clip Panel Trim Removal Tool Kits for Car Dash Radio Audio Installer Pry Tool 4PcsI had no issues apart from the mounting holes on the Carjoying unit being slightly off from the factory OEM mount (you must use the mount that comes with the OEM unit) — one reviewer mentioned only using 2 screws which is the key to not having to modify the mount. See the attached pictures for where to place the 1 screw on the mount and the other 1 screw to attach the mount to the vehicles frame. After doing this the unit will fit perfectly (see third picture of completed install).GPSDo yourself a favor and pay $6.99 for a copy of copilot premium (USA). It works offline by letting you download the entire USA to the Joying units GPS sd card. In settings you can set the default GPS app and change it from Google Maps to copilot so that the "Navi" button on the CarJoying unit will pull up copilot instead.SUPPORTCarjoying has a ton of passion behind this business and they are excellent at responding to your questions via email, most of the time in less than 1 day. I don't think you would find this level of support with any national brand.

Very nice unit with some great features, but no installation instructions or setup instructions.
First, let me say that this is a very full-featured head unit and appears to be very well made. This will be an ongoing review, however as I have just completed the install in the last few days. I installed this unit in a 2011 RAV4 for my wife.Fit and finish: The mounting brackets from the original head unit have to be used in order the mount this head unit. Mounting holes are pre-drilled and tapped, but do not align with the factory radio so the mounts themselves must be modified.Appearance: Once installed, the unit looks as good as factory.Ease of installation: Since there is no install instructions with the unit, one must go to the you-tube links sent by the seller for hints on how to install the unit. I installed a backup camera for connection to this unit. That took 1.5 days (I chose a hard-wired camera as reviews for the transmitter/receiver type were not impressive). Installation of the head unit took a full day as I had to find schematics for my RAV4 in order to get the backup camera to function. The camera itself is powered from the reverse light but the head unit is triggered by the reverse signal. I took the signal from the panel in the dash to the left of the drivers knee (see photo).I installed the GPS antenna and the microphone just behind the rear view mirror (see photo). The wire lengths provided are adequate and the materials seem top notch.Setup: I spent several hours the day after installation setting the unit up for proper operation. Information for doing most of this, again, must be gleaned from a YouTube video with very rapid demonstration and difficult to understand speaker. I was able to program such things as the day/date/time, weather in F instead of C. Set wallpapers, startup screen logo etc. None of it is terribly difficult but at the same time on an unfamiliar unit, it was not intuitive.Function: I use an iPhone, and this is an Android device. The Bluetooth syncs up very easily, and automatically each time thereafter. Control of Bluetooth features is limited to volume and skip. This was a bit of a disappointment as having full control over playlists, artists and albums would have been nice. More functionality is available if one wishes to put their music on a USB or SD card, but is still very limited.Bluetooth phone and hands free: Using the phone hands free was very good for both ends of the conversation. No discernible background noise from the car can be heard, and the reception in the car while driving is clear and crisp. I was impressed that the iPhone contact list can by synced with the head unit.Video: The capacitive screen is everything they say it is. The display is beautiful, the video is very nice whether from a DVD or the backup camera. I am very impressed with the quality of the screen on this unit. It is much better than the screen on my 2015 Toyota Highlander Limited.Radio: This is another weak spot, as the search function is does not find the strong stations, let alone the weaker ones. However, programming your favorite stations manually is easy. Unfortunately, when traveling to a different locale, manual tuning is the only reliable way to find stations.Navigation: Worked well.....for 30 minutes. Now it locks up every time I open it. Working with support on this. So far, support has wasted several hours of my time with software downloads and re-loads that have not worked.OBD: The unit comes with a program installed called "Torque". I purchased the Bluetooth OBD module and paired the two. I'm impressed with the information that is available, including error codes and real time information at your fingertips.Support: Questions I submitted to the seller were answered promptly (within 24hrs), but due to language differences were often of little to no help. I ended up finding most of my answers on various YouTube videos form links they had sent.2 stars: I give this unit 2 stars because although it may be very good, it comes with too little in the way of installation and setup instructions. Navigation feature (very important) is non-functional. Support, though available, has been of little use due to language differences, but they are certainly willing. So far, no real help with Navigation issues. For the price, this is a full featured system that is sure to please, but it's not for the person who isn't mechanically and electronically inclined.

Great in-dash unit for Toyota RAV4!
I installed this in my 2011 Toyota RAV4 in about 3 hours one afternoon. It would have taken only half that time if the existing mounting bracket holes would have lined up with the screw holes in the unit case. I ended up using 2 screws instead of 4 mounting the brackets to the unit and mounting the bracket under the dash. Once I figured that out, it really fit the dash perfectly. The harness supplied with the unit plugged into the existing wiring. The stereo sounds great and the GPS navigation is easy to use. The Andriod operating system ties in with our phones and tablets. The Bluetooth allows us to use our phones hands free. A lot of other bells and whistles that I haven't gotten into yet.
