DIRECTV Diplexer for SWM

works good, combining a rooftop antenna and my swm directv dish down one cable.

I have a travel trailer with 3 TV outlets and an outside input connector for cable or satellite hookup. I carry a DirecTV SWM dish with me. You can't get broadcast networks through my dish since they are local. So to receive the broadcast networks I use the TV antenna on the trailer. There is a single coax cable that is accessible for 2 of the TV outlets - one in the bedroom and one outside. This cable goes through a splitter somewhere within the trailer walls - that I can't find. So I needed to combine the DirecTV signal and the antenna signal into this single coax cable, then demux it at the TV. My greatest concern was minimizing the losses through the 2 diplexers and the splitter so the satellite signal would be strong enough. I bought a couple of cheap ones from Staples and the signal was not strong enough for the satellite tuner to use. These solved the problem. I only have a standard def tuner on the back TV so don't know if I have a good enough signal for high def but it works for what I wanted.

My last purchase was a replacement unit. I bought a unit 4 months ago and it failed. I am not sure it's worth paying a premium price for this unit since cheaper units are available.

Yes I know I bought a reconditioned diplexer. It worked fine for 2 weeks and then it worked only after constant resetting the modem to which it was connected. I returned it and Amazon gave me a credit and I bought a new one that has arrived and works fine.

Have motorhome that has only 1 cable connection on outside for a park cable that runs to front distribution box. I have a Direct TV HD antenna on tripod I use. I replaced single plate on outside of motorhome with a duplex unit and put 1 of these behind box, used weather proofing grease got from Direct TV tech to weatherproof all fittings even though they had O Rings. Put other unit at distribution box splitting to HD Receiver. Works great and no audio or video drop out.

Product description didn't match the product that was shipped. I returned the unit for a full refund.

Installed and notice a slight twitch every 5-10 sec. Only happens when diplexers are installed. OTA broadcast come in great. Call technology support... I the only one in the universe with this issue... 8o( lucky me... They tried their best to resolve.. something with HDDVR receiver operations is not working as smooth as it could. Standard directtv works fine.
