Great Addition to my Costume Collection - (Pirate, Ren-Faire, Fairy...)
I bought this skirt for a costume I'm creating to wear to a Ren-Fair and I just love it! I saw this same exact skirt and many of the other colors Wevez sells at a Ren-Faire last year but the vendor wanted $80 bucks for her skirts and was not sure if that was a good price or not, so I looked at the tag saw it was by Wevez and found it here on Amazon for half the price. Needless to say I did not buy from the vendor and purchased it online instead.Yes the fabric is thin and I can see where others might have issues with tearing should you be a bit rough in wearing or laundering this item. But this type of skirt is intended for belly dancing, not rodeo riding, so keep that in mind; if you are looking to purchase an every day "wear and tear" type skirt, this may not be for you. Those looking for a fluffy, full skirt for a special occasion or costume dress-up, it's really lovely. You may want to keep in mind that an underskirt or leggings might be needed for modesty in bright light conditions. Also, wearing an underskirt with this on top will also cause this skirt to be even fuller in appearance since the under skirt will keep the "fullness" from hiding between your legs as you walk and move around. Many times when I wear costumes I have multiple underskirts to give the top skirt more definition and shape - that's how the ancestors did it and it still works wonders today. My skirt came tightly twisted and wrapped and I noticed that there was significant possibility of dye transfer with the blue portion of this skirt, so I choose to wash it to eliminate excess dye that might still be on the material. (don't want this to transfer to other clothing items, my hands or items I might sit on while wearing it). I choose not to Dry Clean it, instead I washed the skirt by itself in cold water and placed the skirt inside a super-large netted lingerie bag to avoid strain on the fabric since I wanted to avoid accidental ripping. This process worked great in keeping the skirt from being damaged in the wash. I was shocked at how blue my wash water became so I double rinsed the skirt and ran it through the wash a second time. The was water was still slightly blue but significantly lighter the second time round. I double rinsed agian and removed the skirt from the mesh lingerie bag, shook it out and let it air dry, fluffing it out occasionally as it dried. The colors are still intense and vibrant and there was no shrinkage using this method. The skirt still brushes the tops of my feet, just like it did when first I pulled it out of the package and shook it out.I'm 5'4" tall and wear a size 16 (XL) and it was plenty roomy for me to get it on and off. My waist in a corset is 32" but my hips are 48" and I had no problem getting this skirt up over my hips. I even measured the skirt waist fully stretched and it will clear up to a hip size of 54" and as you bigger girls know our problem is not so much waist size on these skirts but knowing if a skirt will clearing our hips and booty. No problems here on that count. Even though I'm on the short size, I'm short waisted in the trunk but have average length legs. My Pant inseam is 29-30" and my skirt worn at my natural waist (not at my hips) after washing hits me at the top of my feet, the perfect walking length without danger of dragging or stepping on the hem. This would be too long if I tried to wear it on my hips but works great at my natural waist line which is where I want it to be since I'll be wearing a corset over it for my costume. So all in all, I'm thrilled with this addition to my costume collection. I love the bright colors, the fluffy fullness of this skirt, which will be even fuller since I'll be wearing petticoat under skirts with it. The fact that the elasticized/drawstring waist will allow me to wear it through a variety of weight gain/loss scenarios that might happen in the upcoming years is also a win-win.I've included some photos for you to see the skirt I was sent. The first two photos of the skirt hanging were not taken with flash and the color looks a bit muted. The photo on the dummy with the funky belt was taken with a flash and shows the true color of the skirt I was sent. The photo with the brocade over-skirt gives you an idea of what the skirt has the potential to look like as part of a costume with 1 black petticoat under it. I did not want to give you a wrong impression of the skirt by adding too many under layers but normally when I'm in costume I've got lots of under-layers so my skirts are really pop out full. I think I'll be buying a second 25 yard skirt to use as additional petticoat or to double up with this one so I can pull up the sides of the top skirt and have the colors of the second skirt peek out under it - what fun.

Luxurious, magical skirt that will inspire the warrior goddess within!
I'm a guy who needed a long, black skirt with personality to wear on stage in my spooky punk band about a year ago, and luckily I stumbled across Wevez's offerings here on Amazon. Since then I've purchased more colors that have all become treasured pieces of daily wear. Nearly floor length on me and quite luxuriously full, these skirts swirl and cascade in a way that brings a smile to the inner warrior goddess. A couple of care-related thoughts:- Though hand-washing is likely preferable, I cheat and run them through the wash in a large lingerie bag, cold water, very mild detergent, gentle setting. I also tend avoid running the skirts through the complete wash cycle-- I only do enough to get a basic, simple wash for a few minutes and enough of a rinse to get the soap out without losing too much dye.- I never run them through the dryer, line dry only. These skirts have a way of bringing an elegant flourish to the most mundane affairs of the day. They even turn a simple trip to the store to buy kitty litter into a grandiose, regal event, where one is showered with compliments from admirers. The inner warrior goddess approves!Update May 2019: I have well over a dozen different 25-yard skirts from Wevez and have pretty much lived in them daily over the last few years. In warm weather they swirl and flourish breezily with ease, and when layered together in colder weather with a second Wevez skirt as a petticoat they're quite drapey and snuggily. My care instructions above still stand, but if a major spill is involved I'd recommend going the dry cleaning route. In short, I love these skirts dearly. They're the swirling, flouncy elixir I never knew I needed, and I'd recommended them to anyone who needs some flourish and adventure in their life.

Arrived as pictured, beautiful but colors run
The skirt arrived exactly as pictured. Unfortunately at the first wash the white became a light green. I tried washing it again after running a cleaning cycle in the washing machine, and it became an even darker green! Luckily, this will work for what I wanted to use it for. I would highly suggest using a dye stabilizer before washing. See before and after photos. Other than that, the skirt is beautiful and fits well. It is a lot of fun to spin in.

Wash it by itself for the first few times!
The fabric is lightweight and perfect for skirt dancing. The color differences along the edge make it easy to see the ruffle and flow when dancing. I washed it with my regular clothes on cold and it bled so bad that a white top ended up very pink. I will eventually need to take a few inches from the top so it's not so long, but for now it fits pretty well as long as I'm aware of my steps.
