Great all around headlamp. Love the hat clip. Also like the fact this is not the usual focused narrow beam type of headlamp, it gives off a wider beam of light so you don't have to point it precisely at what you are trying to see as it lights up a wider area. My only gripe is the stated run time was not even close to the actual run time. Stated run time on low was 21 hours. I got around 12.5. Still that is a nice long run time but why overstate the run time by that much? Just give accurate numbers since we'll find out anyway and you look bad inflating the numbers. Took one star off for that.

Since the angle isn't adjustable you have to live with your forehead's angle for aiming.When used as a headlamp, this lights up my nose so brightly it has a huge impact on being able to see well.If you are buying this for the ballcap-mount option, that is probably great. As a headlamp though, I have to have it ride up so far on my head to get a good angle, the light is in constant jeopardy of falling off.It is a decent light with good battery life. But.... since its primary purpose is "headlamp" it loses stars for not being great in that role.

The COB LED diffuses the light perfectly for working close up like at an electrical box, etc. The headlamp is not adjustable but the angle on it is perfect and the light always lands where you need it. The low light mode is probably too low for any tasks. I almost always use the high mode which is two clicks on the switch button. I will probably order a second Streamlight 61715 Bandit Pro so that I have a backup light for when the first one dies on me. The best headlamp for working up close. And it fits easily in any pocket. FIVE STARS.

This is a GREAT headlamp.it is very small, and you can even remove the hinge and attach the strap directly to the light.That's how I do it - and I can carry it in a pocket because it's super small and lightweight.The cob led provides wide flat light in all directions. The runtime is decent too.It's great for projects around the house, or carrying "just in case" of for hikes that go past dark.

Use this for running, not overly bright but can be easily seen by oncoming traffic. At 35 lumen it is not lighting up the road in front of me very well but it is keeping me from getting hit by oncoming cars.Only gave it 4 stars as it is a little heavy when using it on the bill of the hat and not using the band. If you are using it to walk having it on the bill would be fine, but for running it causes the hat to slide down and I was constantly adjusting my hat. I just us it with the band. Using it with the band on a hat puts a blind spot in front of me due to the bill of the hat.I would recommend this light, battery life is pretty good, I charge it about once a week.

I have bought 3 of the original bandits, about 1 a year with all day use 6 days a week. I am happy to say this one is even better than the old style with significantly more runtime and better charge port location. The hat clip works great and is how I use it at work.

I personally do not like the band around my head. Love the ingenuity of the hat clip option. Keeps the light out front when using a baseball cap version ones that wrap around your head and the brim blocks the light. This is not a spot light, more of a general flood light and plenty bright to do basic activities.

Light was nothing I ever expected out of a headlight compared to the ones I had at work (CSX) I didn’t think those headlights were much to write home about but it was everything this light is and more. I feel a 2 stars is an accurate grade the light itself is not very bright it DOES fit well over a carhartt toboggan despite lack luster illumination

I have tried many headlamps but these are the best for the value. Batteries last many charge cycles, long run time and lumen output is more than enough. Super light and small.

Very bright, compact and Light weight. I put the elastic over my helmet when I'm riding trails at night and it's pretty secure. I got no complaints. Great product.
