Very nice book for someone looking for a dog or a new dog owner
My mom loves this book. The pictures are amazing. It gives very general information about the breeds. The back pages have some basic training and information about dog health and some of the common disorders.

The Complete Dog Breed Book, New Edition (DK Definitive Pet Breed Guides) is a great book. I have always purchased the hard cover books and am impressed that the soft cover is just as amazing. As always DK does an amazing job with great photographs and lots of information. If you are looking for a book that goes info a great deal of detail with each breed I would choose a different book. This is a general education guide.

This book is so much better than I expected, but that I did hope for! It's kept on my coffee table for dog sitting clients to study their own dog's breed, as well as for my family & myself. It's a lovely book I highly recommend buying.

If you want a BREED BOOK, get this ONE!
What a great and informative book. I have searched for a good breed book and tried several others. many were too basic or filled with errors. This one is very informative and great pictures.

Overview only
This gives a good overview of dogs. I do find the symbols kind of confusing - if it’s shaded the dog is good with kids or not good with other dogs. But it didn’t very dark and so I think That part could be clearer imo. This is just really vague kind descriptions. they did a good job of covering lots of current breeds. I would still like a book that goes more in depth to the dogs behavior/ temperament . But that would need to be a huge book ....I found some of these descriptions still a bit general... it’s a good intro to breeds but if you know what breed you’re leaning toward then maybe get a book just about that specific kind.

Best Christmas gift ever
I am giving this 5 stars for the hilarity of it. I bought this book used. They mailed me a library book 🤣 an actual library book with the sticker on it and all. I am only hoping my daughter doesn't notice when she opens it on Christmas morning
