Sturdy | Easier Access | Looks Good
The instructions were adequate. No issues. Having the skis on the back I feel created less drag. The best is that it was much easier for my wife to get the skis on and off. The roof was very difficult for her…actually, I don’t think she ever tried the roof. It’s nice to also be able to carry more skis. We are a family of three. I typically take at least two pair of skis just for me as conditions can vary and also have the option to bring the snowboard(s) as well. The added capacity for equipment is a game changer.

Great ski and snowboard carrier
Used it twice and it worked flawless. Read that some people complain ski are too low in the carrier, not sure if they know but you can adjust how high your ski are in the carrier by almost a foot. During use skies were doing great and we loved it. They will get your skies out of your car to free up space for ski boots.Negative:1. You will need to use your naked hands in cold to open and close this carrier.2. It's not very fast operation, only used it twice so learning curve but still will take you a few minutes to load and unload. After a few times probably around 10 minutes3. Left to right this carrier is rock solid but back and forth there is movement. There is however ready solution for around $15 you can get hitch stabilizer.4. There is bolt to lock in up position or unlock to allow back door access, it's not quick release mechanism you will need to srew the locking bolt it and out on loading and after unloading to get you staff from the trunk.Overall great buy if you dont have or don't want your ski on top of the car.

Pretty awesome with just some minor flaws
Got this for when family came to town to accommodate skiing trips. Assembly was easy and I really like this thing. We had zero issues getting our skis in and out and it didn’t feel cheap. We didn’t need the straps, but it was helpful to have a second person there to help adjust things initially (the distance between the two brackets was too large for kids skis when I initially assembled it).My main criticism is around the lock, it’s super annoying that the key cannot be taken out when unlocked, so it’s always unlock, open, lock, then the lower one same deal. Would be more convenient to open and close and only lock if you really want to.For our Ford Transit Connect the hatch does not open fully because we can’t tilt the thing back enough. Would be cool to be able to tilt it a little further without needing a hitch extension.Make no mistake there’s a lot of plastic on this thing so it will likely not last years with heavy use, but for occasional trips this thing is pretty perfect.

One of the best ski/snowboard carriers I have ever owned
I was a little skeptical to buy this given the cost compared to "name brand" items. I am so glad I did. Fits easily on our Expedition, and the register lets you tighten the mount so there is no wiggle or drag while driving. We drove 6 hours through rain and snow with no issues, and carried 2 snowboards and 4 sets of skis (more than advertised, as we were able to get a set of skis next to the boards too).Loading and unloading is a little burdensome because you have to open the entire thing, and snap down or unsnap the ski dividers. But it becomes a breeze after doing it once or twice. Lowering the rack while mounted also takes some doing (you have to untwist a hand screw as opposed to pulling a pin), but it also becomes a breeze once you get used to it, and by using the hand screw it keeps the mount sturdy in the up position. This is a very sturdy, very well built tool, that absolutely does the job. Could not be happier to have saved the money making this purchase.

Perfect Ski Rack
This is a really great ski rack that does it all. It is pretty heavy but its very sturdy and rugged and handles the extra weight no problem. Can easily fit up to 3 boards and 1 set of skis (or 4 boards), and could probably have fit another set of skis with 3 boards. Very good value ski rack that I highly recommend. The only complaint is that its a little rickety and noisy when its empty and the window is down, but besides that its worth money.

Difficult to use on a regular basis
this rack is sturdy and it fit in nicely on my Tesla model X. However, operating it is a painful exercise. For one thing, everything is screw based. Which means that you have to tighten or loosen a screw and pass them through unaligned holes to tilt the ski rack. Also on its own this rack doesn’t provide a safe mount for your ski gear. There is an included strap that you have to do every time you’re moving about. It means that you’re loading and unloading activity can last for roughly 10 minutes. It is very annoying. If you have to do it on a regular basis specially if it’s snowing heavily.also, the ski locks have very low quality keys and it’s always a struggle to push in the key. I’m not sure if it’s my unit or efforts are universal problem.

Works well with 2023 Tesla Model Y - one caveat
This was a good solution for my 2023 Model Y long range with factory hitch. The included lock does not fit and required purchase of a different, shorter profile hitch lock (Master lock was a good solution). As expected, has some impact on rear camera.Tightened with ratchet and the hitch was stable/did not rattle during the course of almost 800 miles of driving. Keys and locks not of the best quality but a workable solution. I definitely recommend keeping them lubed with silicone. Close the covers to avoid ice build up. Mine got iced a bit but a little warmth and patience got the locks working again with no issue.Happy with this purchase. If there was a way to convert this to a bike rack, it would be even better. I’d recommend this rack, especially at this price point.
