I purchased these because I was tired of cheaper license plate frames looking corroded after a short period of time. I paid twice as much for these stainless frames expecting positive results. Having had a very mild winter here in the Philadelphia area and having the car garaged most of the time, I never expected to have the screw covers corrode as they have. Not only that but I can't remove the screw covers and will have to drill them to remove them. I am extremely disappointed with this product and do not recommend to anyone living in an area that receives snow and road treatments. I know that stainless means 'stains less' but this product is the worst!Edit: The people/owners from Compact Colossus contacted me regarding this purchase. They were apologetic and offered a complete refund and a free set of new screw covers that are not supposed to corrode. They also advised me that they are coming out with a new edition of the frame that will be better. I raised my rating to four stars based on their customer service, but I still have to drill out the old screw covers and clean up the frame. I would recommend them based on the customer service provided, but the product, as I purchased it, is not what I expected. So, until the new model is available, I would pass. I did take advantage of their offer and await the updated product.UPDATE: The people/owners from Compact Colossus contacted me and offered a free pair of their new and improved license plate frames to prove to me that their product was indeed improved. I accepted their offer and have installed them on our Acura and Honda. They certainly look great! The screw covers are designed differently and look very nice. As we are now entering into Winter, I am anxious to see how they will perform, so stay tuned! I believe this company has it's act together. They really care about customer service!

Great product for its intended use--worked great on the back of my truck, but there was no way it would work on the front license plate without tearing off the existing mounting bracket and replacing it with another. That assumes that a bracket exists that would fit my truck and accommodate this frame. Amazon assured me that this would work on my truck, a 2019 Ram, but that promise was only 50% correct. I now have an extra frame in storage that I may find a use for some time in the future. So, for now, I am only 50% satisfied.UPDATE: The owner or a customer service representative reached out to me almost immediately after reading my initial review to see if he could help me with my problem. After sending him pictures and explaining the difficulty involved, he agreed that this frame would not work on the front of my truck without a modification of the existing bracket. I did not ask for it nor did I think that I necessarily deserved a refund, but he, without hesitation, issued a full refund. These people stand behind their product and seriously want happy customers. This is a great product and I would highly recommend it. And know that if you encounter a problem they will fix it for you. You can't beat that.

The frame is nice. I've had this on the car for maybe 3 months now, though, and the connectors are corroded beyond belief, and it all looks terrible as a result. This didn't take long to start happening - not even a month.UPDATE: The company contacted me and has agreed that the old connectors are a problem, and they are working on a new solution there. They've issued me a refund for the product, and have sent me a code for new free connectors- plastic chrome plated ones that shouldn't corrode like these did. Looking forward to getting the replacements and installing them. They've indicated that they're working on shipping the frames with improved connectors. Glad to see them working to resolve issues with dissatisfied customers, and to be working on improving their product! I've updated my review and rating as a result. If the new connectors prove to be a great solution, I'll update my review again.Further update: the new caps are great- no corrosion issues. Mike has kept in contact with me over the course of the past year to make sure that the updated version of this product was working to expectations, and I'm happy to report that it is. Great customer service, it's clear he really cares about the products he makes!

Word to the wise—this plate comes with security caps that cover the screws. You don't have to use them. But if you do to protect your plate against theft, know that you will need to use a drill to drill into the aluminum, then pry them out when the plate is removed. So, yeah. They prevent anyone from removing the plate - including you. I drilled mine and got them off. When in doubt, don't use them.

WORD OF ADVICE: read the instructions first :). I was playing around with the materials and clipped in the anti-theft piece too early. Was very difficult to remove but I was able to do it without any damage. Obviously this was my own fault so I can't complain.The frame is nicely packaged, looks professional. I was able to very easily install this, after my initial mishap :). It's an added bonus that this comes with two frames, bc my state requires front + back. Looks great on my SUV.I have had this on my car for about a month now. Have taken it through a couple car washes and it held up just fine. Way better than having a plastic frame advertising some dealership.This is a little bit more than I wanted to spend on a frame but all in all I am very happy and believe this will last a long time. Will post back if not.Since apparently this is common, I was NOT provided a sample of this. Purchased at full price and installed myself. I have not dealt with customer service but received a nice follow up thanking me for my business and an email address for questions. I expect that the service quality matches that of the product
