Wild Flowers of Britain: Month by Month

There is nothing to dislike about this book. The artwork is beautiful and there’s a lot of it. I do agree with other viewers that it is much smaller than you would think but I’ve learned to check dimensions on books when I’m ordering online so I wasn’t bothered by this.

wish the size of the pages were bigger. pay attention to the dimensions of the book: pages are 7" x 6" but there are 147 beautiful pages of drawings

This is a beautiful book. The images are perfect for art journaling.

A comprehensive book on British wildflowers and trees, beautifully illustrated and showing what one might expect to find blooming month-by-month throughout the year. Latin bi-nominal names are provided along with the more commonly recognized British names of plants.

I gave this as a gift to a fellow plant lover who is from the UK living here in California. So pretty and well done that I am very tempted to get one for myself.

If you are looking for a book to use in junk journals, this book is beautiful. It is full of images. I highly recommend it for journaling or just browsing.

This is an AWESOME book. Just sit yourself down with a cup-a-tea & enjoy the walk through this garden of eden. Beautifully illustrated and a pleasant look up close at nature at it's best. I WILL, eventually, be using it for junk journaling ... but right now, it's too beautiful to just LOOK AT.

I highly recommend this book. I’m so happy to have it. The illustrations are wonderful.

The media could not be loaded.  This book is an absolute treasure! There are 1000 (perhaps more) British wildflowers painted in watercolour. As a watercolour artist myself, I really love the paintings.The book is a hardcover book with a jacket, and the pages are thick. The size of the book is approximately 15 by 17.5 cm.The flower paintings are really good and include the stems, buds and leaves. The common names are included within most of the illustrations but not all. The scientific names are at the sides of each page. Although there are several plants overlapping one another on each page, I have no problems sorting them out.As a calligrapher and watercolour artist, I use plants as fillers in my work. The way it is arranged in this book, makes it easier to find the type of plants I want easily through their physical appearance as I don’t need to know their names. Other than the scientific names, common names and months when the plants can be found, there is no other information given in this book which is acceptable to me as I do have another book to refer to.It is a great book – as a coffee table book, as a reference book for artists/illustrators, and for lovers of beautiful art.
