First off, the cable that arrives like nothing like the photo on Amazon. It comes in Gerbing packaging and is a pretty thick cable. Plenty for running heated gear. The problem is there is no weather cover, so the end fills with water and corrodes. Mine usually lasts three to six months before I have to buy a new one. This problem isn't specific to Gerbing either. I have tried every sae to barrel plug adapter on Amazon and they all corrode.

I have Gerbing heated gear and need this cable. No choice. It works, it's well made and certainly holds up to some abuse. I'll say at $16 it's a ripoff though. This very likely should be about $10 OR sold it packs of 2 for $16. You most likely will need or want a spare, so 2 for $32 is a total scam in my opinion. I plan on doing more research and finding 3rd party alternatives that will work since Gerbing seems to be all about the $$$$ these days.In the end, the product is quality and it does work.

I haven’t been able to find my Gerbing heated gear connector to the battery. I was looking to buy another one, and I found this Gerbing heated gear connector that plugs into the battery tender receptacle. Less connected to the battery terminals. Great idea.

Robust thick wiring perfect for high amperage applications. Worth a few bucks more than the commonly sold 18 gauge connectors.
