One is Modbus interface into a EG46000XP inverter for Solar Assistant and another for talking Modbus to a Tesla V2 wall charger W/ TWCmanager. They just worked out of the box with no effort. Used the included shield terminal to make connection to shield on cable for one end. Review: No drivers needed - I use this on a regular basis to help map out N2 communication trunks with a virtual machine using Windows 7 or to troubleshoot comm problems using wireshark. I was using the USB port on my inverter but it suddenly stopped working one day. At first I thought maybe my USB cable was bad so I tried a couple others but no luck. The price is very reasonable and not much more than a USB cable. Very easy to hook up. My inverter uses an Ethernet port for RS485 - I just cut the end off of an old Ethernet cable and hooked up 2 wires to the Waveshare and plugged everything in. Build quality appears to be good.
